protip: you can change image size by adding height and width tags
Example:
input img src="http://i.imgur.com/phYd1Fi.jpg" height=480 width=279
gets you this
use preview to make sure it looks right/doesn't give you any errors. Also, put the image address in the box like normal for posting an image then add the height and width tags after the syntax is created. Otherwise, it will assume they part of the image address and they will be ignored

as a townie, I can tell you that that is the consensus on Social House. Good enough to go once, too expensive to go back. Haven't done Black Hen yet, I've heard good things though if you're ok with dropping the cash.

Is that where that goes? Cool! My friends and I talked about going back and following that part just to see where it went, good to know.
But really there are so many good hiking spots around here that no matter what you pick you're not gonna be disappointed. Well, ok, unless you're canine friend digs into a nest of hornets when you're about .2 miles from the top of whatever you chose. Then you're going to be really disappointed. This happened to me last weekend hiking to Kelly's Knob. Not a fun trip back down.
So people who give thousands of dollars and spend thousands of dollars for tickets can't get things also? Tech needs big time donors to up the budget in the long run. There are going to be plenty of things for the general seats and stadium overall. As for parking a passes they are sold for the "season" not individual games.
I hate that there's so many places in Blacksburg that I don't know.
I'm not even that old (27) and I was just there for the UVA game last year.
Please don't change Blacksburg, I love you just the way you are.
Barney's Wall is a great little lookout! Once you get to Barney's wall, if you're feeling sporty, you can go back out to the jeep trail, turn left to head up hill, and go all the way to the old fire tower at the top of Butt Mountain. That is a really great view of the NRV and you can see clear into West Va from that spot. I'm not sure how much further it is from Barney's wall...maybe another .5 mile or so

this is my first time registering on any non-osu site. It's nice to talk football with level headed fans. We all love the game, just follow different teams. I even enjoy the "anOSU" thing in my own way. Never thought highly of teams or fans who have beaten osu in the past, but I'll be rooting for you guys after week 1, as I did last year after week 2.

If you're in good shape, I'd also recommend Barney's Wall. You have to hike past the Cascades to get to it. THIS website says it's an 8 mile round hike, I thought it was a littler further than that when I did it a couple of weeks ago but it's well worth it. I'll see if I can get some pictures up

I tried it for the first time this summer. The food was good but, IMO, not quite worth what they charge for it. I suppose it's worth trying once but I don't think I'll do it again. Just one persons opinion but uh....well there it is.
I'm anxious to try out the Black Hen. I've heard it's also pricey but actually very worth it, can anyone confirm/deny?

Pitt was 6-7 last year and blew it against Houston in the Armed Forces Bowl. (2014: 6-7, 2013: 7-6, 2012: 6-7, 2011: 6-7, 2010: 8-5)
UNC finished 6-7 with a loss to Rutgers in the Quick Lane Bowl. (2014: 6-7, 2013: 7-6, 2012: 8-4 *self-declared bowl ineligible, 2011: 7-6, 2010: 8-5)
NC State finished 8-5 with a win over UCF in the St. Petersburg bowl. TheirOOC schedule last year: Georgia Southern, ODU, USF, and Presbyterian; they won all of them for half of their win total. (2014: 8-5, 2013: 3-9, 2012: 7-6, 2011: 8-5, 2010: 9-4)
I can't buy into NC State this year either. Their OOC schedule is one of the softest in the nation with such big names as Troy, FCS Eastern Kentucky, ODU, and South Alabama. I expect them to again win all of those and that'll probably make up half their win total again.
Those are NOT marquee games anymore that people are going to go crazy over. None of those teams are nationally relevant and none of them are (to my mind) football rivals.
This is 2015, not 1980. We're in the ACC and are a nationally known program. I realize that you don't want to go crazy with OOC scheduling (looking at you, Virginia) but people want excitement. And teams that finished 6-7, 6-7, and 8-5 last year aren't that exciting, even if they are in conference. Teams that finished 14-1 are. Rivalries are. NC State, Pitt, UNC, Furman, and Duke are not. I'll be there cheering with the rest of you fine folks but I'm not going to fool myself into thinking that those games are marquee matchups.

I'd fix my original post, but that would require a lot of labor.
I used to live at the foot of the mountain where Humpback Rock is located, on the 'hooville side. Up Glass Hollow on Goodwin Creek in the old Chinrock Orchard.
There was a period of time that the fans in Lane didn't shut up when the team was getting beaten. We kept playing, regardless of the score. Forcing time outs and false starts because of our enthusiasm was a focus that was rewarded time after time. Lane isn't unique in having rabid fans, or smart fans, but we are still a force that must be considered and prepared for. And while I like having this game a night game at Lane, it all boils down to who brings the most to the field. I think many OSU fans saw last year's game as a loss to a capable, but unremarkable team of upstarts that schemed their way to luckily putting out the eye of the Cyclops and escaping with their lives. We, of course, saw David whacking Goliath a square shot straight in the bean, odds be damned. As for this year's game, I think if we all had to put money down, we'd have to think long and hard about betting on the Hokies to win this game. I mean, serious money, not throwaway fun stuff. We have some reasons for optimism, but we know that last year isn't this year, the Cyclops has regained his vision, and Goliath ended up with a mere concussion. Thing is, to quote/or paraphrase a song that was old when I wasn't, "We've done it before, we've done it before, and we can do it again. Yes, we can do it again. We did it beforrrrrrrrrrrre, And we can do it again."
