It's also really fun when you toss something on top of it in the drawer unintentionally and it starts playing unexpectedly. The accidental Hokie, so to speak. It's a fun little item.
Gotta admit, watching this kid develop, on and off the field, beginning with his recruitment all the way through to today has been one of the highlights of my experience as a fan these last few years. Great kid and I am happy to see him continue to find success.
I wonder what it feels like to have an entire fanbase not only consider you one of their favorite players, but in addition create and continue this persona of unlimited badassery? Must be pretty sweet...

NFL stadiums are often required to be covered by the city or by the owner because they have every intention to sell that venue for many, many alternative events (like concerts) that would require more hospitable climates, or at least weather protection. College stadiums don't service these types of things much.
The Missou plan is interesting. The numbers there would be cool if they could sustain and they do have a good chance to as they are literally the only thing in the state to watch sports wise. Noise wise unless they get to Phase 3 where they go vertical it would be still be a wide bowl, which is not good for crowd noise.

It's also a bowl but more compact and vertical. Would make for good noise levels I suspect.
The removing of seats is actually a good plan for many places. Sometimes a stadium is just too big and by taking seats out it appears to sell out quicker which leads to rush buys. This is great from a marketing point of view. If you get to that point consistently then your average ticket price can also raise on a sustained margin.
The Chargers have MUCH BIGGER issues regarding stadiums than reducing seats but it's actually a good idea there too. The city doesn't have the carrying capacity to support a huge stadium.

Okay. Hard to tell from the front, but the concept of a narrow belt with no holes is similar.
On Navy belts...our uniform regulations say "can be worn with civilian clothes, if a civilian buckle is used."
Which always illicits the same two comments:
1. who would ever want to wear that thing in civies? and
2. i've never seen that kind of buckle anywhere else

I'll just say I still appreciate the guy. Not saying I don't think he was completely in the wrong a while back. However, I am not going to write him off because he had it out with Bill and showed poor charactor in a situation. Wounldn't be the first guy. I don't have cable, and don't live in south west VA, and it is because of him that I have been able to keep up with a game on Saturday. I don't have to choose sides. I appreciate the guy.

But VT wasn't even in a conference in 1980, and still managed to play West Virginia (at home) and Florida State (away). The year before that they played Florida State and Clemson (at home), and #1 Alabama (away).

We could put up a mesh 'jumbotron' over a North End Zone that's twice as high as it is now, and you could still see campus behind it when its not lit. You could also potentially put it up on the exterior of the West Stands expansion between the two tall columns to have a video board for pregames to increase the tailgating experience.
Now if someone wouldn't mind calling Whit about cutting my deposit check I will get straight to work.
