Herbstriet just denied gilman and whomever else is on college football live and said that VT is one of the three toughest games on OSU's schedule and thinks we should be a 9-10 win team this year. The host agreed and then gilman and the other guy was saying how banged up osu was last year and how inexperienced they were. Still making excuses.
It's strange, I'm glad it came out but I'm also not. He's really the last person that should be commenting on other people's situations. There's no need for him to air the team's dirty laundry out for the world to see on social media.
Interesting way of doing business. I'll have to try and find a dynasty league to play around with.
I remember in one of the articles in the Richmond Time Dispatch, where the Tech athletic department was commenting that some of NCAA "violations" may not have helped and probably hurt their recruiting. Bruce Smith having to split the wood was mentioned. Another "violation" was the incident where recruits were provide transportation using a basic University grounds maintenance work van when the roads were covered with snow, as the van had snow tires for better traction.
Yes, I wasn't sure of the condition of the as-received firewood, so I used Bruce Smith choice of words "chopped". If the wood had to be cut to length, I sure hope Bruce had a chain saw.
Yeah, but it's Shai McKenzie calling someone a rat. So....I choose rat.
Yeah, I'm sure no Buckeye ever made fun of his name in 2007 leading up to that title game when he was at Florida
By the way, good to see some new blood in here to pick on... I mean have fun with... I mean, welcome!
The 8th most, to be exact.
I may be the minority and I may sound crazy but I would rather come into this years game with a solidified OL, QB and RB missing these guys than last years game with a brand new quarterback and OL.
In our system, he's a tweener. he's not big enough to play DE for VT and doesn't possess the quickness/sideline to sideline speed necessary for the fits in Foster's system. In our system, he's a tweener.
But he might be a perfect MLB in someone else's system. Yes, our system is perfect for traditional tweeners, but he may not be a traditional tweener. He may be a traditional Mike or Backer, but he's not that here.
Welcome to TKP! Hope you enjoy your stay. I must say, all the OSU fans that have poked their heads in over here have been classy individuals with interesting perspectives. There are quite a few that I wish would stick around after the matchup is over.
It's definitely a blow for y'all, but we've been having some unfortunate situations with a few of our players as well. On the one hand, I'm thrilled to not have to worry about Bosa anymore. Our O-Line is one of our shakier areas. On the other hand, y'all did win the National Championship with your 3rd string QB, so I'm not expecting a steep drop-off in talent. At the end of the day, while it improves our chances, you're still the favorites to win.
Shai had consensual sex with a girl who repeatedly presented herself as 18. It's stupid, it's technically illegal, but I wouldn't classify it as wrong. Definitely nothing for Tech to punish him for. Now if Blacksburg High wants to ban him from their campus...
Thanks VTGM. I'm glad to be here and look forward to the discussion.
I believe fall camp starts August 11th so it's actually about 4 weeks that they'll have to prepare.
Urban Crier. That's funny, never heard that one before.
So what you guys are saying is VT's been chopping wood for a LONG time. Me like
I think both of NC State's starting linebackers are sophomores so... I'm not sure what people are telling him.
We're good.
And UVA.
So...NC State and Us.
Maybe, just maybe, he's just not a LB?
But they glanced right over the recent Reavis news right?
Add on to that the fact that the short passing game has become our de facto run game. I agree, as the run game improves, pass totals will diminish. I would say, however, I expect our YPA to go up at that point, as our passing game would become more vertical.
Don't ever rat on your friends and always keep your mouth shut.
If it were you, would you want the proceedings to become part of a permanent public record...one that would accessed by every potential future school and/or employer?
If Reavis really believes that he has been wronged and it is worth taking his case to the legal system -- or he wants the details known for review by the court of public opinion (with all of the potential drawbacks I mention above) -- he can choose to release his records. Until he does, it's really nobody's business.
him and JB are probably the only ones who are worth a shit. All the others are just CB hunters
I agree with this. I'm not too familiar with their scheme and stuff, but maybe French or someone can chime in with how much their H-Back has to block. I may be wrong but that could be a tough thing to pick up on especially after a shoulder surgery.

That is all fine and good, but even you have to admit than voters don't do this for anyone who isn't in the SEC. For anyone else it is "win and be rewarded." For SEC teams they give everyone the benefit of the doubt.
