Looks like Vegas and others are dropping the line real fast. -13 and the lowest is -11
It didn't take Vegas long to readjust their lines for the Buckeyes-Hokies showdown. Station Casinos has knocked the line from -18 OSU to -13. Five points is a huge change. But Ceasers/Hilton went a bit farther and dropped the line to -11 OSU.

Yeah Rod Gilmore said OSU could lose 5-6 more players and still handle this game. I feel that's just an idiotic thing to say about any game, even though OSU has much better depth than us.

I still don't understand the difference. What reason would you ever rank a team somewhere besides where you think they'll finish?
In My Opinion:
- Preseason Ranking = Last year's (known) skill level - talent lost + experience gained + new talent acquired (recruits)
- Preseason Prediction = Preseason Ranking + scheduling advantages and concerns
So, I think VT enters the year as a top 30-40 team. I think that due to our schedule, and the schedules of our opponents, we finish top 15-20.

I always respected Meyer and never called him names, but I sure wasn't a fan after the beatdown his Gator team put on the Buckeyes in the 2006 National Championship game. Like him or not, it's hard to deny that he's an excellent coach.

That is all fine and good, but even you have to admit than voters don't do this for anyone who isn't in the SEC. For anyone else it is "win and be rewarded." For SEC teams they give everyone the benefit of the doubt.
Herbstriet just denied gilman and whomever else is on college football live and said that VT is one of the three toughest games on OSU's schedule and thinks we should be a 9-10 win team this year. The host agreed and then gilman and the other guy was saying how banged up osu was last year and how inexperienced they were. Still making excuses.
It's strange, I'm glad it came out but I'm also not. He's really the last person that should be commenting on other people's situations. There's no need for him to air the team's dirty laundry out for the world to see on social media.
It would shock me - given he has never done that, even when his sanctions seemed excessive for the offence.
But Urban's disciplinary mistakes at Florida are what has created the perception you have. But when you look at what he has done at Ohio State, he has been stern, if not overly harsh. But perception is reality.
