I'd still love to see us land Tino Ellis on friday but my gut feeling is we won't. Regardless, landing Deablo and potentially Patterson are a good recovery. IMO Patterson is the best of the bunch anyways... attacks the ball the best and has the best hands.

I really want to believe this, but the lack of adjustment across three games that French points out has me worried. I have to believe that's a coaching thing. The only alternative explanation is the players just doing whatever the hell they want and ignoring Searles's adjustments.

Sure! I really have no idea what he is saying. It was the only devil gif I could find that didn't have some creepy licking/tongue thing going on.
I suppose if we beat Ohio State, we need Ohio State to run the table. If we lose to Ohio State, we need them to lose anywhere from 0-2 games. Just enough to get us ahead of them into the playoff, but not too much to screw up our schedule.
All of that is predicated on us running the table ourselves.
My guess is that Bud isn't watching our O when they are on the field. He his probably talking to the coaches in the booth and figuring out how he's going to make adjustments. He's also probably talking to his players on the sideline coaching them up.
i can't remember where i saw it but I thought i heard/saw that the position coaches don't talk to e/o during halftime and its mainly to focus on the 2nd half script/goals.
but definitely agree with your point. wonder what Bud does when we have the ball?? does he have the ability to look at film or still shots of the game so far.
All of them are spot on. Especially the Miami one.
Finebaum is on SEC Network from 3-7, I think. Def starts at 3.
College Football Live has a 2 PM airing on ESPN.
ESPNU is mostly 30 for 30's this afternoon.
So, yeah, that Sportscenter bit is probably all we'll see live. Unless they sneak him onto one of the ESPN2 shows like Saban showed up on last week.
That was the entire point of my comment. I guess it wasn't as funny as I thought.
my bad, 4 coaches, 15 yrs. I can remember 1 above avg OL in that time frame.
you're way more confident on searels than in am. let me know when it's fixed.
It will get old and tiresome come November
Isn't it already??
Was looking for a good car wash gif w/ bing search to post. Then got distracted by all the "bad" car wash gifs.
Now I feel funny.
Is all of this on ESPN? Or ESPN, ESPNU, ESPN2, etc?
While it needs some tweaking for college...I always like blasting this when we have Monday games.
Duke: Football in Durham has slowly begun its climb to the peak popularity it experienced during the 1942 Rose Bowl.
I laughed out loud.

I'm in class trying to discreetly schedule TiVO to record these, I can't find Finbaum for 2pm or college football daily. Can someone find out what time they actually air so I can schedule it to record? Thanks.
You know, it seems to me that it would behoove Tech to check in w/ Bud at halftime to see if he's noticed anything.
Yeah, most games it probably wouldn't be likely he had the time to pay any attention to what the opposing D was doing, but in that WF game, I have a hard time believing there was any real chess match going on against their O that he couldn't have dedicated a little time for a quick review of their blitz package and clue in Searels.
so what you're saying is that UNC and Duke are all like

With NCSU on the sideline screaming

and ECU is even further out of the picture looking all

My wife was asking me last night about different scenarios in which we make it into the playoffs, with the options being beat OSU, lose to another team or lose to OSU but beat everyone else.
I figure we HAVE to win the ACC regardless of the outcome against OSU. The biggest variable is how many losses other teams have, but our best bet is to either run the table or have one loss against the defending champion. If it comes down to us with one loss to an ACC team and an SEC team with one loss to an SEC team, we aren't in the Final 4.
I was going to make a comment about how if anyone was supposed to care what Tim Brando thought, maybe he should work for someone other than CBS. And then I read the article and saw he's moved to Fox.
I think Fox is trying to get into ESPN's face sooner rather than later.

so what you're saying is we need to pound their QBs enough to win the game, but not enough to cripple them for the rest of the season
