The only thing that makes it any easier is preparation. A few media members were saying that this wasn't supposed to come out at this point, and that is why Meyer tried to put a blanket on it.
No one doubts Miller's skill whatsoever, as well as the flexibility this gives OSU's offense to cause opponents trouble. That said, I think it is beneficial to have more more cards turned over going into camp than less.
Most would have guessed this is how it would have played out, but the less guessing the better in my mind.
I think its a bit of a stretch to say this is done in the name of branding. Jimmy Clauson is the only high school recruit I can think of that clearly tried to do that. Sure some guys aka Kenny Trill try to excessively promote their brand in college, but I'd say 99% of these kids do it because its fun to have a little time in the spotlight, not ulterior monetary motives. Whatever branding can be done in high school is ultimately trumped by performance in college anyway. The only times that the NFL has drafted guys possibly based on brand were players like Tebow and Manziel, but being incredible college players tends to do that, not high school activity.
Great info, Alex! You are the man with Hokie news!
RIP 38-0 TL tallies
And Boyd could very well be one of the best WRs in the country. These two reasons are why Pitt scares me the most on our schedule followed closely by OSU. LOLUVA makes me laugh.
My first thought seeing that picture was "who wants this ball? I DO I DO".

This is replacing me making the same joke only 21 hours late.
I will be there if I can get back from the beach in time.
yep, by far the lowest average temperatures.
Cookout and camp, sounds awesome. Hope these guys have a blast.
3 Years ago in July the law was passed that you could sell retail from the brewery without having to have a restaurant.
It opened an entirely new business model that did not hold small breweries captive to the wholesale distributors to whom we had to sell our beer.
Now the customer can give us economic feedback directly.

# | Tech Prepares to Host Dozens of Rising Seniors/Juniors for Combination Cookout and Camp Weekend I would love to go to this BBQ myself. Thanks for all the great info
Alex!
I had no idea that Alaska was the coolest state in the country.
I'm guessing all the current players will be able to attend? If so, I'd hope they have a huge turnout.
SKY'S OUT THIGHS OUT!
Poor fellow, #69 in the picture is still looking for Dadi today.
You going all Newsies on us?
I actually think it depends more on Ken than Dadi. Dadi could be a high draft pick but is likely destined to be an OLB in the NFL. Ken has the size to stay at End (at least in a 4-3) and part of the knock is that when Bud's DL get to the NFL theu have to switch positions. It also shouldn't hurt that Maddy should still be a DT at the next level. After this year Bud should have 3/4ths of his DL get drafted (unless Ken has a great season and declares and then 100% could easily be drafted) which should be a huge statement and something he can sell right away.
I think I get your point:
Vick, Michael
Taylor, Tyrod
etc.
then again I like current country music, so I probably just threw all my credibility out the window
Indeed.
Favorite Chris Cooley story was him using his self proclaimed "Captain Chaos" moniker during the coin toss of the Skins vs Rams game. As the players introduced themselves to each of the other 3 "captains", Chris got a little closer than usual and shook the hand of each of the 3 men and announced, [shaking hand of player 1] "Hello, Captain Chaos", [shaking hand of player 2] "Hello, Captain Chaos", etc..... HYSTERICAL. loved that guy.
so it's kind of like playing GT. Anyone in the back field may end up with the ball. We have a pretty good plan for that every year (INTs from last year notwithstanding): play good assignment defense and put the guy with the ball on the ground in the backfield. 60% of the time it works 100% of the time.
The question is though, if you could give 30 carries to Elliot or less than 20 with the remainder going to Braxton, which would you do? Yes, you get another weapon, but you also take away touches from your other weapons. Elliot at this point will be far more reliable than Miller IMO.
uses same joke twice...gets double the turkey legs.
that's TKPing like a boss

The OSU boards were bearish because the OSU boards (like most boards) are delusional. This guy blew out his arm again in his 1st live practice after 8 months of rehab. Another 12 months of rehab had a very small chance of changing that.
He wasn't a very strong NFL prospect at QB before the injuries, let alone after them. So the questions really became 1) how long do I continue pretending to be a QB and get to a position where I might have pro potential and 2) and what position do I switch to?
My guess is that this wasn't a rush decision; if he really thought he could still be a QB, he would have likely transferred months ago. What worries me a little is that he chose receiver - which indicates that he may have shown some natural ability there. What doesn't worry me is that it is much harder to switch positions than most fans think; some pull it off with relative ease, but most don't.
