That's a bad attitude and culture within the team and the coaches are responsible for that.
There were a couple of upperclassmen on that team who did not have the lunch pail mentality. They were trying to win their own individual Nat'l Championship or something.
Tough to say if that's the coaches' fault or the players. If your a manager, and the people under you mail it in, there's only so much you can do. You could argue the coaches should've have done a better job recruiting players, or maybe teaching responsibility in the previous years, but I'm not sure you can pin that on the coaches.
*Disclaimer - 2003 season was before my time
Microsoft is claiming Edge is faster than Chrome, and an independent test I read backs up most of the claims.
As far as the browser being a memory hog, that could be due to a bad extension or two. Some of it is intentional though. Requesting (allocating) memory is one of the most expensive (in terms of clock cycles) operations an application can make. It's a good practice to over request memory and manage your own pool, rather than allocating and deallocating it to the OS time and time again.
Saban is not a good example. Besides the performance advantages Saban has over Beamer, he's 5 years younger....which is huge. 5 years, like the time a kid would be in school if he redshirts. That's why you give coaches 5 year extensions.
Spurrier is a much better comp. He doesn't have the performance advantage at USC that Saban has at Bama. He once was a great coach, now he's a good coach. And he's older than Beamer and he recruits better. That's the comp.
Beamer's problem isn't his age, per se. It's that his age/health creates instability. London is having a hard time recruiting because his program is unstable. "Are you going to be there when my boy graduates?" That's a tough question for Beamer or London to answer affirmatively right now.
The media voted for a guard with 1 start and 423 snaps in his career (both numbers lower than Teller, even as a r-Sr.) over all the other guards on the list (all of whom played on much better o-lines than Clemson's)? What in the world?
Also, there were 71 votes at CB that weren't for Jalen Ramsey, Kendall Fuller, or Mac Alexander? There are no words.
You're welcome. Just going to leave this here...

There is a growing contingent of malcontented fans who think Frank Beamer is standing in the way of VT's rise to perennial top 10 and annual National Championship contention. While there is only one way we'll find out whether they are right or wrong, I have a funny feeling that they'll be rudely awakened when he's gone and they have to come up with something else to blame for keeping us out. I suspect a fair amount of the speculation originates with those fans. They have every right to feel that way, I think they are wrong.
Can I just say how goddamn thankful I am that the level of sexism around here is really low? Cause I get more than enough of it at my job... (engineer)
And it pleases me to no end that I actually get legs when calling it out. Y'all are the best :D
15 games
UGA should almost never lose the East when UF has a down year. What college football disadvantage do they have? None.
If I were a UGA fan, I'm not sure I'd call for Richt to be fired, but as a VT fan, I wouldn't be ecstatic about him coming to VT either.
leg my man!
Age has nothing to do with it. It's results.. Look at Bowden's last 5 years and look at Beamers, they're eerily similar..
Bowden--> 7-6, 7-6, 9-4, 7-6
Beamer--> 11-3, 7-6, 8-5, 7-7,
key difference was FSU had Jimbo in waiting/groomed to succeed. He went 10-4 in his 1st year.. but lost to VT in ACC game
VT doesn't have anyone in waiting, a new AD and tons of returning talent. a 10 win year and this goes hush, a 6-7 win year and more people pile on.
No point in bitching about it.. Beamer will coach this year and like its been reported Whit and Beamer have talked about the future so we should leave it at that.
Nah, can't hire Mark Richt... he's 55, so he's way too close to retirement
Maybe you were a little too Pacific?
I get both sides of the recruiting issue. Beamer's so called health is an easy thing to pick on.. and will continue to be until he retires/ isn't the coach at VT
Kids want to play, win & get rings, while have the opportunity to go to NFL. VT can provide that for sure, but lately we've been in a funk. It happens to every program..
Look at Georgia no way they shouldn't have won their east conference. Are people calling for Mark Richt's head absolutely and its getting worse and worse every year.
Did anyone else notice how close we came to having the entire D line be from Virginia Tech??
You're right. No one said a word about them retiring. Beamer is being singled out
Been there, tried that....

Didn't go so well
Try not thinking about the millions of $$$ they made for
such shit "music". Ugh!
Hmm...after entering my location it placed me in the water. Guess I wasn't specific enough
OSU #1 - Easily.
#2 - 1995 vs. Texas. This win never gets enough respect. Shutdown of BMW.
#3 - Clemson. Complete domination over a team that the pundits thought would crush us.
This made me laugh today:

I thought i was the only one!! I get angry even thinking about them!!
I am going to try my best to have it done before the season, but there are many other things to do before then.

The fact that neither Austin Powers nor Mythbusters are on Netflix is nothing short of criminal.
