I find it hilarious that they think places like Michigan really gets that loud. Lane is built to intentionally contain noise, and when it's rocking, it's one of the loudest venues in all of football. Places like Michigan... Yeah they're big, but most of the noise is lost because they built the stadium out with a shallow incline and not up with a steep incline like Lane. If we ever enclosed the North End Zone like we did on the South, Lane would essentially become the CenturyLink Field of college football.

Its only a small population, but to them our stadium will be fine but they are used to going to Penn State and Mich so there's no way it can match that noise and intensity. Also their D is going to be greatest thing ever and we wont score because we arent Oregon.

So that's two (if you consider Benedict a starter) plus Michael Brewer makes three...in what 15+ years?

And Hansen wasn't exactly a high profile transfer from a power 5 program that everybody (or anybody, for that matter) was ga-ga about. He was a walk-on with no scholarship offer who could use the sit-out yr as a redshirt yr, so there was virtually zero risk from VT's standpoint.

So what about the 2016 or 2017 seasons? Sh*t happens in college football, and hoping it won't for another 2 years is begging for trouble.

I personally find all the ones calling our stadium "small", hilarious. They have no idea how loud it will be that night.

To answer your question...yes, with what VT currently has and will have for the next 2-3 seasons, it would be far wiser to utilize that scholarship on developing a QB for 2018 and beyond.

If VT signed every potential transfer that folks here say it should sign, they would have like 105 players on scholarship.

a ton of troll comments for sure.. the best one being

their defense isn't as good as ours, and our offense could be legendary good......I hope we spank them on national television!!
