French on the Bench on the Radio
Always a big fan of the linebacker recruits. They seem to be what make's Bud's defenses work. When they are great, the D is great. When they are okay, the defense is merely okay.

I can see why Coach Foster likes him. He has a big frame. He plays down hill (critical for VT linebackers) and has good bend back to the interior. He plays his responsibility (see his read on the reverse play.) He looks pretty good dropping back into coverage. This is a guy that Coach Foster can work with.
He has some fundamentals that he will need to work on. He plays with a bit of a high pad level. He has a tendency to take a false step every now and then (see the spin to adjust to a screen pass as the most glaring example.) However, he is a kid who "fits" the system and could play both backer or mike.
Apparently there were a few guys who thought that was the plan this past season.
No doubt. He's a great guy, has been helping promote the Student Hokie Club (got up early this morning to help recruit at orientation -and crushed it- and plans to be there the rest of the week) and loves running track. Really glad he's still got a scholarship at VT.
Loeffler's newest offensive scheme: play 12 players.
Bud Happy = Fud Happy

GameDay has reached out to VT, and although nothing's finalized right now, it is looking like it's gonna be in Dallas. However, VT is definitely pushing hard reminding ESPN how much they've enjoyed being in Blacksburg in the past as opposed to some neutral site game.
That 2009 game gives me the sads (my avi was from our tailgate there)
That 2010 kickoff game makes me laugh at how Marvin Austin defiantly showed up to watch from the stands.

Which is more than they had fans at the spring game
Ask him to have another son and make him commit to VT at birth

# | Bitter blog - Media guide notes, a somewhat new depth chart and my All-ACC picks Hate to see any kind of attrition, but glad to see him get a shot elsewhere!
Common knowledge since I was a kid.

Not highly rated, but according to the guys at 247, Bud is a big fan of this kid. We could have a good one on our hands here.
Fun story: according to the same #Sources, Oliver Luck (Father of QB Andrew, former WVU AD and current #2 at the NCAA) was considering coming to the OSU game, but when he was told about this concert, he immediately said, "I'm coming to the OSU game."
Starting my Monday off right. Welcome to the team!
I updated the original post with confirmation from Belmar's Twitter and his Hudl interview. Alex is working on an interview with him now.
Crazy stat I saw today--> 6 of the last 7 gameday's have been at neutral sites.
2014- FSU vs OK state at Jerry World
2013- Georgia at Clemson
2012- Michigan vs Bama at Jerry World
2011- LSU vs Oregon at Jerry World
2010- LSU vs UNC at Georgia Dome , Chick Fil a kickoff game
2009- Bama vs VT at Georgia Dome , Chick Fil a kickoff game
2008 - Bama vs Clemson at Georgia Dome , Chick Fil a kickoff game
My guess is it's Jerry's World again
Why didn't you vote for Dwayne Lawson for preseason poy? /s
You and your #sources!
when you think about it, it probably looks a lot worse than it is. Initial force can be no more than her weight and likely much less considering she has to be able to hold against it (grip strength). Then the sling goes to less than half the pull back distance before it launches it at her face so we can assume less than half that force. Then throw into the mix that the watermelon pulverized meaning very little of the force got transferred to her face. So pretty much we're looking at the force necessary to bust the watermelon and that's it. Ouch, for sure, but if this were something of equal weight, but solid, it would be a heck of a lot worse.

Refreshing news to hear for sure! Hope Kendall is right!
