Right, for the games that are conceived as neutral field games from the start, the money is split. But if an NFL stadium coaxes a team to give up a home game, they basically get to pocket that money. I know that the Redskins paid Whit and the Bearcats $3 Million to host the game at FedEx in 2012.
I was assuming ECU had given up their home game in 2008, since the 2007 game was in Lane. But it looks like VT actually traveled to Greenville in 2009, so the 2008 may have been a true neutral field game where the money was split.
Joe I don't think we can say this enough but you sir are great. The work you and everyone else at TKP put in to have this site for us is truly awesome.
Dyrell was my favorite player when he was in Blacksburg. Guy has real speed and elusiveness. Life has really dealt him a shitty hand over the years but he just keeps trucking along. He has a great attitude and determination. I hope he's doing well in Indiana.
Leg up. Our penalties have been egregious and ongoing the past few seasons. Eliminate more than the normal and unavoidable of them, and we have a different story going for us. This has been hard to swallow for me, and I don't know whether to blame the players or the coaches, but it must stop for us to reach our potential.

The Terps' total home attendance, per the Big Ten, was 281,884 fans. That's an average of 46,981 fans per game, up from 36,023 in 2012 and 41,278 in 2013.

The different layouts occur based on different browser widths which correlates to screen resolution. Even though the current generation of iPads have a 2048x1536 pixel screen resolution, Apple does internal scaling and the reported resolution of the device to the browser is 1024x768. When you hold the iPad in portrait, Safari reports it is 768px wide. The breakpoint for the "mobile" versus "desktop" display is 960px. That's why you are seeing what you are seeing.

I'm very conflicted on the outlook for our team this year. Look, with all this talk of championships and such and such watch lists, you're likely to hang 80 on us by half time. It might be true a few individuals have done some things to merit keeping tabs on, but this 2015 team has earned nothing yet. We can hope for a better season than last but at this point that's all. As for our secondary's main four (and I might be wrong), basically only one player will be back who played a substantial role over the entirety of last season so saying they are good in my opinion is not yet true until they prove they are good. Our linebacking crew will be two of three fresh faces, and the D-line which I think will be our strength will be anchored in the middle by two guys who also did not get in a whole season. In my opinion, our O is where you will see some surprises, but even there a few new faces will need to earn their reputations in a new year. But Bosa must be licking his chops knowing he's going up against a D-III walkon who at the beginning of last season was a defensive lineman. But I'm betting that Bosa might not have the night he thinks he's going to have. But we'll see.
Depends. the CFA Kickoff for instance essentially splits it evenly as long as both schools sell their ticket allotments. So yea 2004, 2009, 2010, 2013, 2016, and 2017 are all nice big paychecks for VT.
Duke Johnson was my favorite back in CFB the last few years. He is my dark horse player to have a great NFL career.

Decades ago, cannot for the life of me remember details, I bought beer at a UVA game at a tent in the endzone. Wish I could provide all the links and sources, but there's only that memory. I remember the next time I was there, there was no beer tent. This was back when you could leave and re-enter the stadium, not that many of those 'hoo fans bothered to come back in, mind you. Truth be told, from my standpoint, I'd forgo the Wild Turkey and crappy Coke for a good cold draft, but I don't see this as something in the immediate future for Lane. Perhaps with an attendant severe and no nonsense crackdown on liquor in the stands (how popular would that be?) it might end up being a way to cut down on the often tits up results of the current policy, but again, I don't see this as something Whit would do.
