Has anyone done the math on this, as in how much of a gain do we really get from these games? Would we be better off scheduling a home and away game with a top school (OSU for example)?
In 2013, for example, VT only had 6 home games, plus the neutral site game vs Alabama. Seems like we gave up a possible 7th home game to play that one. The 2010 neutral site game made more sense, as VT still played 7 home games that year.

I didn't see them play on television in college. The first game I saw Bo play was the Seattle debacle on Monday Night Football (I was a Steve Largent fan and my parents let me stay up.)

O sorry I misunderstood your original point. Yes I do believe when a corporate decision is made to move a game post scheduling it is more lopsided. And yea who knows, I dont particularly intend to dig through old news articles to see.

I'm just going to go ahead and assume that it's because you didn't see them play. I sure hope that's what it is anyway.
Almost has to be GT because they have GT going 6-2 in conf and 8-4 overall. Which means they probably have losses to Notre Dame and Georgia and definitely "undefeated" Clemson. That means the remaining loss is likely to either FSU, VT or one of the other Coastal teams. My bet is on FSU given VT's in-conf schedule and only having 1 loss - and the other coastal teams having at least 3 losses.
I frankly don't see GT going 8-4/6-2. I just don't see them going 5-2 vs Duke, UNC, Clemson, Pitt, FSU, VT, & Miami...in that order and bookended with Notre Dame and UGa (with only UVA and a bye week as breathers).

Yes he was. i still have a hrad time buying on Clemson. I think FSU and NC State will be the teams in the Atlantic. Luisville is still 2 years aay from being a threat imo.

Loeffler being excited for this season is a happy thought. The OL has to be our biggest concern specifically tackle. I am excited to see who steps up. i just know someone will! I thinke Newesome will step up on offense and Stroman/Walker/Van Dyke will on D. So stoked!
Not sure where you saw that VT recruited him as a TE, but Stinespring and FB both said they brought him to Tech to play QB.
