I mean, if you want to nitpick, go after TechSideline and the overboard negativity, their constant bickering, and their politics board that is home to some of the most vile shit I've ever seen to the point where I'm honestly embarrassed that they use VT-centric names. Hey, I'll have no argument there.

I find it incredibly hard to believe that the names or policies of fan sites have anything to do with recruiting. If some recruit thinks about VT and says, "well, they've got some goofy people over there on that fan site..." he's probably not making a very rational decision, anyway. If the coaches can't close the deal on top talent, that's one thing. It's their job to sell both the University and their program. If someone decides against VT, I have to believe it's more about football itself than anything. We've also had a ton of success without a ton of 5* recruits, but that's a debate that's been rehashed a million times around here.
Also, UVA's fan site looks like it is straight out of 1995 and full of blathering nonsense. I guess we should incorporate that into the sales pitch...
I guess UCLA could be all "Touchy Feely" and use 'Bear Hugs', while Notre Dame could offer up some "Luck of the Irish" and use Leprechaun hats.
Even though I was a WR/DB in high school I know that our OL used the diddle/nads terminology if they forgot the snap count. I guess it shouldn't surprise me that much since Coach Williams played at E&H, I think around the same time you were there. As of last season he was coaching at E&H and it looks like Newsome kept him on staff.

I can take the criticism. My larger point is that I actually care about the perception of the University. And you may have noticed, not only do many recruits reject us for no reason other than these images, other schools use it as a negative recruiting tool. I guess no one has noticed our inability to attract 5-star recruits.
Ehhhh ... those numbers sound a little inflated to me. He certainly had a good day but from my vantage (right by the doors), I seem to remember more than three passes hitting the ground.

Per Andy Bitter his WR's today were DJ Coles, Pat Kelly from Liberty and a TE Robert Asmar from William & Mary. huh interesting.. wonder if Logan worked with these guys since he finished the bowl game with whittfield?
I also think this post/news has alot to do with people not giving Logan credit at the QB position and saying he's no good and he should be a TE. All of Logan's snaps were from under center today there's a lot more going on with that than just getting a ball from the air.

I think the tiger tails that Clemson fans put on their cars look absolutely ridiculous. And yet, their fans clearly like them and they recruit just fine. Complete non-issue in my opinion.
