I was a cook at the Hokie House for a while...

That being said, despite eating for free at HH, I preferred Sharkey's while I was a student, but only because it seemed to attract a lot of hot girls during my time.

At least 14 former Hokies, including dismissed place-kicker Cody Journell, and several players from smaller schools around the state participated Wednesday at Rector Field House (more on them tomorrow).

I didn't know that VT let other school's participate in their pro-day. Is that normal? I know QBs can't through to receivers that are still on roster, which was the debacle of Tyrod's pro-day, but I didn't know it was so open. It's a classy move in my opinion.

Also surprised to see Journell get a 3rd chance from Beamer.

My only suggestion is to add a "&" before hipster to make sure the variable is passed by reference.

Alrighty then.

I'm in. Committed to a good sized grill and the charcoal/wood to run it. Also an ez-up and a table.

I will bring chicken wings for consumption, deliciously marinated and basted chicken wings.

Did a little google memory refreshment....Jim Deaton left my high school to go to Carson Newman. He was the D-line coach there before he left for Campbellsville University, and apparently came back to CN as D-coordinator before (apparently) retiring. Great coach. The only team we lost to while he was our coach was Clintwood (twice; my junior year they were state champs, my senior year, I think they lost in the regional final)

James Deaton was my high school coach, and he left after my senior year for (I thought) E&H. Perhaps I'm wrong on the school. Time clouds my memory somewhat.

it really is though haha I was talking to one of the meteorologists for the Roanoke time and he was telling me how his preseasonal forecast was like 10-15" for the Blacksburg/Roanoke area and he was saying he was right on track for it until that massive storm rolled through and since then mother nature just decided to be a hoe....fasho.

anyway I don't think I made this particularly clear in the last post, the euro has changed its original forecast. Originally it had it going offshore within the last few hours its had it creeping closer and closer, and now its looking like a direct hit. I haven't looked at to many other models, but this is the track for a system we usually wanna be on the lookout for anything significant

I don't know a Coach Deaton. Our staff was
Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator/LBs Lou Wacker
Associate Head Coach/OL Fred Selfe
OC Dewey Lusk
DL David Franks
Secondary Thomas Nelson
RBs/WRs Brian Hampton

Volunteer assistants
Danny Tripplet (starting linebacker on the 1981 Clemson national title team)
Jason Myers
Aaron Brand

Thanks for the updates. This winter, it really likes to after ya!

It has been 11 years since I wrote anything remotely resembling C++. smh

this works better than my idea...I've used the semi-html-ish tags sarcastica and /sarcastica. Your "*" takes less typing.

I was never a big TOTS fan when I was in school, and Sharkeys is still my go-to bar in Blacksburg, but now I do try to stop in for a Rail every time I'm in town.

I go away for two weeks to a different office where I can't goof off on the internet as much, and you go and have a birthday on me. I'll be back at my home base on Monday though, and it's only 5 months til football season!

Here's to the next 4(0) years!

beer

I prefer the Hokie house. Though I will say, TOTS is cheaper. Sharkey's, also good. Someone in Blacksburg needs a wheel of shots though. If by the time I'm back there someone doesn't have a wheel of shots, I will open a bar with a wheel of shots. I might even only have the wheel of shots.
