I read every word. And literally flip flopped with whomever was voicing their opinion. I really haven't watched basketball at all for the past two years. (I guess that's saying something). I want to have a successful sports program as much as the next Hokie. My question is if JJ were to keep his job, do you see this team improving next year? Can you envision JJ being a contender in the ACC? If we are having this conversation again next year will we regret not just biting the bullet now and making an educated hire that will provide the best opportunity to succeed? This year was historically bad and really can't get much worse. Presumably with a new hire you are going to get someone who you're betting does better than his predecessor. In this case that floor is very low. I'm not really sure which way I swing as far as granting JJ a 3rd year. I don't know enough about basketball to say what the problem is with his teams. But can you see a JJ team butting heads on a regular basis with UNC?Dook?Sewercuse? Or do you see those other coaches in a different league than JJ? I try to think of it like French does in his reviews of Lefty. French sees real promise in what Lefty is trying to do, even though the results might not be there just yet. Do we see that with JJ or are we going to be asking ourselves these same questions next year?

If we do can JJ, hopefully we do it sooner rather than later. We waited to long after the season to fire Greenberg and by then just about all the available coaches had already found jobs, which pretty much forced us to go with JJ.

I'm sure I'll get crucified for this, but I think Cassell itself is a big problem. I feel like I'm walking into a cattle sale when I walk in Cassell. Cassell doesn't look much better on tv, especially with those "Big Ass Fans" we put up a couple years ago. Having a nice arena can go along way to getting some good recruits to want to come play at Tech. Why would any decent player want to come to a school that's program sucks and arena is crap? Tech needs to either seriously renovate Cassell or build a new arena all together. If Tech built an arena on par with JPJ, it could even steal some concerts from the Ronoake Civic Center because let's be honest, that place isn't that nice either. I'm sure people will comment saying something along the lines of Cassell being a gem of college basketball or we can't tear down a place with so much history. What makes Cassell historic besides the fact that it's old? It's not like we would be tearing down Fenway or anything. And besides, what history does Virginia Tech basketball even have? Let's fix our arena, get some good recruits to Blacksburg, and actually start to build a legitimate basketball program.

I'd hate to think about the possible attrition that may come if JJ is let go. We saw what happened when Seth was fired with the transfers and commitment switches, I sure hope that wouldn't repeat if Whit makes a change.

Watch the play again. Logan saw the blitz and clutched looking right at Knowles. Knowles wasn't looking for the ball. Logan should have taken the sack, but there was a whole funky butt-loving load of pooch screw on that play.

I believe songs from the 70s and 80s will run anywhere from $200 to $500 for rights. I'm fairly certain that it's only for a short period of time too. More modern songs cost anywhere from $600 to over $1000. So as you add new songs, you diminish the total number of songs because there's not an increase in available funds.
