not addressed to you necessarily, but LT3 is going to have lots written about him as there is thing thing called the draft coming up

LT3 is a lightning rod of controversy for those of you who don't know

developing an interesting controversial POV that is well defended is part of the media's job

be it Mr. McHair, Mr. McShea, Mr FormerDB... that is what they have to do

could certainly see McShea developing a vignette showing LTs performance in clutch time during the BC 4th quarter... we lost the game... it was a bit of a shootout... how'd this 3rd year starter perform? as a fan I'd be interested... as a GM/HC I wouldn't turn away.

however, its pretty much a lose lose situation for VT....

1)he slams LT3 and has a good case.... maybe LT3 goes lower in the draft and this does nothing to help recruiting

2)he slams WR play, line play, points out some positive LT3 contributions, maybe others see his point maybe LT3 goes higher in the draft and this helps us with recruiting, but slams our offensive development a bit

I'd take 2 personally, because I think anyone considering VT will understand in short order how bad our offense has been, but if LT3 could go in R2(living the dream) I think that would fit in well with the new coaches, strong draft / NFL potential pitch.... but those of you who think these guys make stuff up that is totally unsubstantiated... you're just flat out wrong....noone would listen to them if that were the case and they would lose their jobs... they don't have to live with their opinions like a GM or HC does, but I guarantee they try to have an opinion that both the uninformed public can relate to and a GM or HC will use as a guidepost for a deeper dive.

JMHO

Was catching a flight from Germany back to the states last summer. Saw a guy rocking a VT shirt in the Berlin Airport, I told him "Go Hokies."

He responded with "Beat Alabama."

Truth is an absolute defense- that throw was Brooksian. LT3 both a) didn't get a ton of help and b) dug his own hole quite a bit. They aren't mutually exclusive.

My understanding is that Brewer has two years of eligibility left. If he wins the job he'd presumably be the favorite to start again in '15, which would give the freshmen two years to prepare. IMO that's the best outcome for everyone not named Leal.

My husband and I are alumni and visit Blacksburg monthly as our daughter is a vcom student . We just can't justify 35 a ticket for bball tics but would happily pay 20 a tic as a walk up price for unsold seats. We did attend several women's bball games this year and look forward to baseball. But with so many needs in the family our big splurge is football and that gets expensive.
Go Hokies!
