Somebody should alert Ricky DeBerry about this
It starts out as ten but as you drink it, it goes to 1= the value of the deposit.
I'm a Steelers fan. I'm hoping this is just stalling for time until they can work out a long term deal.
Not me and my Steelers fan friends. Guys on the defense are either getting old (Troy, Ike, Kiesel) or just never played up to their contract (Woodley). I'm happy we got Worilds on a one year deal, especially with Jarvis Jones still sitting there. If we could get rid of Woodley and start Worilds with Jones I'd be even happier. But worst case scenario is Worilds just had a fluke 8 games last year and we move on after the season. Well done by Colbert.
We don't get all that many NFL prospects on our DL but the guys who are demonstrate their talent by being multi-year playmakers at DE for us generally do get drafted (unless they're totally undersized like Corey Moore). See Engleberger, Tapp, Ellis, Worilds, Gayle (tbd).
I would rather see him go the Packers to assist Clay Matthews.
If he is offered a contract by another team the steelers have a chance to match, if they match he is theirs (much like a Restricted Free Agent in the NHL/NBA ect). If they don't match they get no compensation (like they would with a franchise tag-a 1st rounder I believe). If he does not sign a contract with another team he gets $9.75 million.
My question is I thought the steelers were hard up against the cap, if someone offers a good deal do they have room to match?
Also as an Eagles fan I was really hoping Chip would bring him in to help with the 3-4 pass rush.
Well, after the Redskins Franchise tagged Orakpo, the Steelers knew that Worilds was the top available DE/OLB Hybrid rush guy so this allows them to keep him if he doesn't find a better contract that they are unwilling to match without committing quite a few years in case last year was a fluke. Same reasoning I think the Redskins franchised Orakpo. Couldn't really afford to lose him, but his injury history makes handing him a five year deal tough to swallow.
Please stop!!
aaaaaaaaaaaand now I'm starving......
+1.
From the comments on this and other articles Steelers fans don't seem too happy.
Woof! Woof!
Great flick! I can never find any gifs from it though...
The link explains it pretty well...
Not to be argumentative, but if Leal doesn't win the battle here, I can't imagine the transferring anywhere else will work out for him either.
Odds seem really slim for that working out for him.
Big difference between him and Glennon, who I think definitely should have transferred.
Plus one for the Oddball reference.

Does this mean that free agency is done for him? I am not familiar with a "transition player" tag. I thought he was either the franchise player (for more money) or getting a contract.
Say goodbye to the Red Raider Shotgun, and say hello to Skipper.

Size Does Matter
Why would you swim when you have free access to the party yacht?
Sent them a request month or two ago on Facebook no response and no activity on page since before bowl game.
We are moving to Murrells Inlet actually.
Boston College Dive Team Captain:

That's good to hear. Perhaps I misread. Definitely has the measurables of an OLB/VT DE. Though I get the impression Bud would like to have larger DEs (if they are still quick, i.e. D. Hand, Sweat, Dooley, etc.).
The success of Worrilds, Gayle, and Anderson will be interesting to watch this year.

This happend during the court rush after the game Saturday. I'll try to get the video of it tomorrow.
