# | First Junior Day for the Class of 2015 in Blacksburg UPDATES AND OPEN THREAD The kid on the right is Brian Chaffin, 6'2" center from Charlotre who was offered today.

Thanks.
Actually... not kidding. It wasn't nearly as awesome as Tech's student section, but they at least seemed engaged in the game. They were also moderately loud (again, not as loud as Tech though). They also didn't start leaving until after our final score, and most stuck around for the end of the game. They actually stick around to sing their Alma Mater. The alumni sections were almost empty before the final plays of the game.
To be fair, they had less students than we typically do, and their student section is smaller as a result, because they only have about 1/3 the student body that we do. But, the student section was pretty packed (though it was the ONLY section that looked more than half full...). I'd say their student section was more impressive than ours has been the last 2 years, for sure.
I notice in the back ground they have the CFA Bowl vs Tennessee poster. Hopefully they have something promoting the biggest college football game ever, somewhere. Either bringing it up, or have a poster, flyer, video something to these kids for they will be playing in it come 2016!
I need Hokie followers! Loved my visit!! Follow me and RT— Matthew Burrell. Jr (@_PNCKS_x4) February 8, 2014
HokieNinja I went ahead and embedded it for ya. I haven't figured out how to embed either on my phone.
Safe to say the hokies will be serious contenders in my recruitment, excellent visit!— Kai Locksley (@LOCKSnLOADED_3) February 8, 2014
Not sure how to embed on my phone but this is definitely a good start on him.

# | Bitter blog - Would you rather see a 9-game ACC schedule or a yearly ACC-SEC matchup? I would love to see an sec team on schedule every year. It would definitely help tha acc out.

# | First Junior Day for the Class of 2015 in Blacksburg UPDATES AND OPEN THREAD I just want to put it out there that I've seen this before and I really don't like this meme. I know it's a joke, but these kids are people, not characters in a video game. If I were a recruit and I saw this, I would feel disrespected.

Proud of the effort. Disappointed in the mental mistakes that prevented a win. Hard to question this team's desire.
i think Pitt-'Cuse does matter. it goes back to when PSU was independent. i think the Pitt-'cuse-PSU triad were a solid series of regional rivalries.
True. At least this one was exciting. I've just endured so many close Hokie losses (across sports) that it's coming close to causing my heart physical injury. A loss with this kind of effort has some good takeaways, though.
and as she walks through hokie hoops oblivion this music is playing.
It's almost that time#HokieNation #hokies pic.twitter.com/aAHhXazBQV— DuWayne Johnson5 (@fitch_Boss) February 8, 2014
Its way early but I do agree with you. Like I said we have the best shot with Darvin Taylor at DT
I will take this kind of loss 10 games out of 10. And at least our basketball court doesn't hace Tiger stripes inside each three point arc ala Towson Tigers. That court is hideous.

# | First Junior Day for the Class of 2015 in Blacksburg UPDATES AND OPEN THREAD It's nice to see, but don't hold your breath with those two guys. Burrell is almost a lock to go out of state and the odds with Settle are not much better.
Great effort by our guys today and I'm proud of them. Looks like they just ran out of gas by the end. Maybe it's a depth issue?
This kind of loss is a double-edged sword. It shows they can hang with pretty good teams, but to have the game slip away like that really stings. I don't know if it's worse to lose like this or get shelled by 20...

Looks like the coaches are putting a lot of interest in these kids
