and on a side note. When they do the class rerankings 4 years later ours are usually pretty high and that is the important ranking.
I just did this a recruit in NCAA 14 last night and feel bad about it even though he's not a real person.
Had to make room for a 5 star ATH named Kevin Fuller, though, so don't feel all that bad...THERE'S A FIFTH FULLER OUT THERE SAYS NCAA 14!
People can talk about how Beamer does (did?) recruiting all they want, but I don't think you would ever see this staff pull something like this.

Probably his point. All major universities whiff on major talent in-state. See Alabama and Jameis Winston. But, you also got to get the major out-of-state talent. State-pride isn't what it used to be. How many times have you seen "757" quoted or hash-tagged, but never VA. It's not about the state, it's about their neighborhood, and their neighborhood being represented all over the US.
Percy Harvin set the modern mold. Represent the 757 or 804 on the biggest stage, which currently isn't VT.

Forwarded this on to a few FSU friends of mine. Overwhelming attitude was an immediate laugh at the kid and saying... and I quote:

It looks like we are getting a high number of recruits from PA this class. In years past this only would have happened over JoPa's dead body; guess that was very true.

Gotcha. Guess it just goes to show that recruiting can be a bit of a crapshoot and that we just trust that FB&Co have done their work on the guys we're targeting.
