I agree that the Thursday NFL games have been bad, but fantasy football will take some fans away from the College Thursday night crowd.

I am happy with the class overall, but I can't see NSD itself as anything but a disaster.

I can't say that I blame a kid for picking FSU over VT right now considering how bad the last two seasons have been but disappointing to have SO much in-state talent signing elsewhere.

Sure we can take the unheralded guys and develop them up to be stars, but to get where we'd like to be (that is a shot at the National Championship) we aren't going to be able to do that without bringing in the top talent.

Probably because it was on the NFL Network, so they didn't want to put highlight games on there.

That said, with it moving to CBS, you KNOW they are going to make this yet another big showcase game every week, potentially with flex possibilities later in the season.

So far so good! Looks and sounds like some wild and crazy Hokies here! Love it! :)
I don't see me going back to some other space often now.
Piecake is ok.
Thanks for the welcomes on a crazy busy day! Almost over and I hope we finish strong!
I actually am already pretty excited about this class. Some offense!

College football ramifications aside, this is pretty great news for those of us without NFL Network. We can now watch those piss-poor matchups between two teams running on 4 days rest without having to stream it.

Which is an upgrade over the kicking game the last couple of years, which has just been a joke.

And by joke, I mean headshaking embarrassment.

Not exactly downvoting cause we're "faint of heart." Shoot, I cut the hearts out of guinea pigs and mice pretty regularly. However, your post did violate a good chunk of the posting rules Joe outlined and was overall just unnecessary.

Thank you. I like them and will do my best to abide by them.
I've got health problems and vision issues along with them, so I do tend to use text type posts and my typing is bad, so I tend to mis-spell words too much. I will try to follow the guidelines the best I can!
Thanks so much for the tip!

Go VT!

The difference is that their misses are kids in the top 30 in the country while Harrison and Nnadi were ranked anywhere from 100-200 in this class. They are especially ticked off about losing out on Malachi Dupre, five star wide receiver ranked 17th overall, so stealing Harrison from us helps to soften that blow.

I did and that is awesome. What I did hear as well that is somewhat concerning is that they did not try to sell me on anything and they did not wine and dine me. Now while this worked for Andrew I imagine that a little bit of selling and wining and dining would be good and help with most kids as long as we do it for all the recruits walking through the door and not just the higher recruited kids.

Just a heads up:
Brace yourselves for the Michael Santamaria "sailing kicks through the uprights" jokes that are going to become a mainstay for broadcasters in the coming years.

A wise man once told me "when you stop getting better you stop being good"

We should always be looking to improve. The second you get complacent, you've begun the failure.

I completely agree. Beamer needs to shift his philosophy, and I already think you can see the shift occuring. Their is a much greater emphasis on Ohio, Pennsylvania, NJ, and in the south. If you look at the current players holding VT offers for 2015, there are 71 according to 247. Only ~20 are from VA. If you were to go back to 3-4 years (maybe even 2), at this time, you would see about 30 offers for the next year, with 20 from VA, and the other 10 from MD, NC, etc. We'll see if their expanded strategy will pay off, but it was a completely necessary strategy to acclimate to.
