I agree with you completely that he is highly unlikely. I included him and the other premium guys on the list because they were brought up by multiple people on the other thread. Just giving people more info to work with. Shaka may not even leave for one of those jobs unless he can recreate the VCU magic run around the time one of those jobs is opening up. The darling tag only lasts for so long before people want you to prove it again

Well obviously not, but it allows Coach Fondue to paint a picture for them to buy into. It all plays into his 30 for 30 pitch. Also, who said he won't be there? They haven't gotten rid of him yet and I'm not sure if anyone could actually do a WORSE job of coaching than he has.

Crazy! Saw this on a friend's Facebook. It's rumored it came from someone grilling. Which brings up the question, why are you grilling when it's in the 20's?

I'm sure my sentence structure has fallacies as well. My point was to try fixing the really simple things like 'alot', 'here here', and your vs you're . I realize I painted a huge target on my back but it's for the benefit of the community. I'll take the downvotes and critiques as they come.
Shaka can be stricken off this list in my opinion. I understand why his name comes up all the time, but there's no way we'd have the money for him. Regardless, Tech is a step down for him from VCU anyways. I don't see him as the type of coach to want a "project" and turn teams around. It's Duke/UNC/Kansas/etc. or bust for him.

Thanks for the write up and detail Joe, and I also think that this is a good hire. Not to be an age-ist but College Athletics is a fast moving machine. I think that we have only seen the beginning in terms of changes and that the future will only bring more...potential dissolution of the NCAA?...more realignment? playoff expansion? paying players? player unions? I am more comfortable with someone that is nimble, and shrewd, and with a mind for whats happening 5 years from now, not 5 months. Hopefully Whit is up to the task and ready to move Hokienation forward.
