Excellent source over the years.
THIS TWEET LOLOLOLOLOL http://t.co/hGBCB8qMxU
This is good to see as well:
Great in home visit w the best offensive coordinator in the country!!! Coach Loeffler #Hokies pic.twitter.com/ZS7jCxajY6— Tyrell Smith (@TyrellSmith76) January 19, 2014
Maybe just all of the love from hokienation was what he meant by - yeah it's good now...but it kind of made me think that he'd been contacted by someone. Possibly a new OL Coach, of course that's very speculative, but I thought worth mentioning.
If you look on his page above the tweet that is being mentioned, you'll find this:
@LK2CHAT yeah it's good now!— Colt Pettit (@ctpettit72) January 19, 2014
Thanks
Willard from 247.
From twitter?
Wasn't just one play/moment, but beating LOLUVA for the 10th straight season.
Be careful reading those comments in Roanoke. Lots of haters there...up to no good scoundrels just trying to get a rise out of us Hokies. But, to look at their side of the coin, the Roanoke Times showers crazy love and attention towards our program. It rubs the non -VPI folk some-kinda awful. The result is ignorant trolls on Andy's stuff...makes we want to punt my garden gnome into next week.
In other words, we can probably guess as to the content of some interview questions for the candidates for new AD...
I don't know if I believe Petit knows this yet. I was thinking the same thing, but if a coach tells a high school player before the University makes a formal announcement, there is the risk of said info "leaking". I just think he bought into the school, coach Beams, and is excited to see all the love from Hokie Nation. I will say this; I have a source close to the situation that expressed similar confidence. I think we received a verbal late last week. I'm sure our new coach has exit interviews, decisions etc on his end that have to be addressed before anything is announced publicly.
It was put on roanoke.com too and the people commenting kept saying that he got wise and wanted to play somewhere else, instead of not qualifying academically. I guess I am too used to reading comments here that it has enlightened me to the idiocy of other people.
Sources??

I played highschool football in SW VA. Growing up, we were dominant in football...absolutely, would not lose. Then, as I progressed through the grades, a strange thing started happening. My teammates starting playing other sports- to the point that they dropped football! How could they. The result: a once dominant class quickly became forgettable...2-8 senior year...with a graduating class of 400, only 6 senior football players. Ouch. My point? In many of the southern states, OK and TX included, they eat, breath, and sleep football. There is none of this "baseball in the spring, swim in the summer", stuff. It's two-a-days in July, pass skeleton in August, balls out till November...then start lifting till July. The culture of VA doesn't have decades of this mentality breathed into it. For us, there are many other interests to occupy our time and energy. For our brethren down south, you either play starting tailback, or you're on the ready when your # 's called. I agree with the above on many fronts: sustained success over generations will help alleviate us on a cultural basis, as well as financially. We won't quite reach this level of commitment until we're willing to drink the "12 months of football Kool-aid".
According to some sources a new OL coach has been hired and an announcement should come tomorrow. I'm assuming that Pettit tweeted this knowing who is next OL coach is going to be.

I think Petit is the best linemen in the class. Very good news.
Standing in the driving rain after 3 OTs. Cold, wet and hungry with the diehards to see the blocked kick and the final win against Marshall.
Sanka you dead?
Ya, mon
My Native Henrico County has really seemed to change over the last decade.
Speaking of great bbq, Buz & Ned's is always thrown out there, but I highly recommend The Hogshead Cafe. You won't regret it, if you can get a table that is.

I don't expect to get as much fanfare....but after several Budweiser Black Crowns, I remain committed to the VT Nation and I will be at the spring game for the 1st time in 4yrs (work commitments have kept me away). I anticipate an Andy Bitter interview request.
