Frank Beamer has built this program on integrity, something that is lost on several Division 1 programs. If Cequan couldn't jump through the necessary hoops, he doesn't deserve the opportunity. We're not going to bend our academic standards for no individual, not him, not Drew Harris, not anyone else.
I love the fact that our administration is setting this precedence: if you don't meet the standards that Virginia Tech sets, you don't belong here. Period. We don't make exceptions for anyone. This isn't UNC, we care about our players graduating and representing the program in the right way.

This. I've seen him speak to the press and do interviews a few times, and he's definitely lacking in media relations department. I'm just glad he doesn't have a twitter handle (at least that I know of). He doesn't seemed groomed for the position and I think he would have been better served by spending time as an assistant at a bigger program or heading up a mid-major or even a DII

I mean can you honestly go up to them, look them in the eye and point your fingers at them? At the end of it all they feel what they feel as do you and everyone else on here. No amount of lambasting is gonna change that.
Team Cadarian. He started off this year strong on defense and was better than usual on offense. Plus everyone seeing minutes instead of him(Trevor, Beyer) are getting beat on defense in situations where Cadarian wouldn't.
I agree. I have friend who gives crazy money to Notre Dame...he never went to school there. Crazy thing is that his brother actually played at VT. He always tells me VT is not at SEC or ND, Texas, OHio St level...and in regards to non-alum giving, he is probably right.

Team JJ. I believe in this coach . We are not going anywhere and it isn't like Raines is going to reinvent the team. I back the coach and I think he has a reason. I do not thing he will be around for that long. He has shooters and big defensive guys and no one else. We need a scoring center and a good PG until then we will not win a lot of games. So the question is a mediocre scoring big man worth what an inexperienced coach is punishing him for ?
