Kinda surprised they're going to play Lambert on the road in a hostile environment in front of a lot of VT fans. Maybe they should have done this earlier in the season when they had a home game?

This title is wrong and misleading. There is no "booze" at UVA because Zima and Wine is not considered booze for those of us who are functioning alcoholics.
We played Alabama and with the exception of some special Teams, surprised the crap out of a lot of people.
I remember coming away from that game with a renewed sense of confidence.
If we can play against Alabama, we can certainly play against FSU.

Well, lets see. Besides Hokie 12:00 games Thanksgiving and Christmas are the only other days I start off with a Bourbon and a splash of water. So once that is complete I help my wife with the last minute prep work. It's the least I could do since she's been cooking for the last day and a half. Her turkey is the BEST, besides of course when I decide to fry one as well. She puts hers in a pan of water and keeps it the oven over night, comes out the most tender, moist thing you can put in your mouth (food wise ;). So I love that, and butter beans, and white acre peas, and rice, and ham, and deviled eggs, and broccoli casserole, and green beans and pecan (pronounced Pee-can not pic-con) pie. I loathe cranberry sauce, and stuffing, and dressing.
I think it's Miami's D that is worse than expected. They're the ones that aren't back.
I'm fairly confident that the Hokies can pull out at least one of those weird 17-14 wins where Coach London starts icing the kicker right after halftime.
I'm probably more worried about UNC-Duke. Duke feels all Disney movie right now.

Stiney is doing a very good job as Tech's Recruiting Coordinator. This is the most active I've ever seen the staff this late in the season, and for more than one recruiting class. Everybody is involved and pulling their recruiting weight.

^This^ However, I know Shane Beamer is fully knowledgeable of that state's talent pool. I imagine it's hard to pull guys away from USCe and Clemson though considering the upswing of both programs now.

I take it this two ways, but first. As a former athlete or maybe its just my personality I don't care who it is that we play as long as we give our all. We've all lost games that we shouldn't have at least when I played. I know how it feels to be up setted and to lose a game when I felt that we were the better more talented team period. But that's just the facts of the game someone has to lose and someone has to win. That's the bottom line. I always took it upon myself as a challenge to play the best. Because I always wanted to be the underdog never the favorite. I've found myself being the favorite I'd get complacent and start get a "Big Head". So that side of me will never go. I'm competitive and that's just the way God made me! Now, as for the others that have said that they're glad that we won't play FSU.. I think they have seen us lose so many times in big games or against good teams to the point where they get beat mentally and I can say from that aspect we've all have felt that way before. But we can't allow ourselves to stay there. I have to put myself in those fans shoes for a second they're faithful and loyal fans, they buy tickets, they show up whenever VT plays and they've witnessed losses before and sometimes seeing those losses after giving your all as a fan can take its toll to a certain degree. But we as fans got to pick them back up. I'm hoping for another chance to play for the ACC Championship against FSU this year, but if we don't I'll accept it as "it is what it is" and turn my focus and attention towards next year...

I like it ALL. I've never met a Thanksgiving meal that I didn't like from the green bean casserole all the way down to the fruitcake that somebody banged on the table for no real reason. I'll eat that shit too.
As far as gravy...I don't put gravy on gravy. Everything else is fair game.
