every year the game is in cville we set up a big tailgate that's mixed hokies and hoos. we're all friends who go back a ways. in 2011 we brought burgers, lil smokies, homemade jalpeno poppers, martin's chips, cheap beer in cans, and whiskey. our hoo friends brought champagne and had a cheese plate set out. i shit you not.
I'm not saying we're gonna win by any means, but Michigan State has now struggled with Columbia and Portland in back-to-back games. I originally thought we were gonna lose this game by 40, but now I think we can give them a game for the first half and they'll pull away in the second. This team can shoot, and the key to any upset of this magnitude is to hit 3's and crash the boards. We've been doing both this year, so I think we can keep it close in the first half.
Still a young thread, by the time the Saturday after Hokie Day surfaces, this'll be as rabid as the Miami game day thread.

i dont mind the charge rule as much as the hand check rule. seems to me if you touch the ball handler it's a foul.
There have been countless times I have seen articles about how Frank Beamer is still one of the few coaches to get up to the top 25 ranked team area consistently and done it the right way. You are going to find faults in any person and no one is perfect. If CFB can get these new coaches going and build up our program (he has done it before)again it will really show how great of a coach he still is.
I only can hope he is the person who realizes his faults and surrounds himself with new assistants who,although similar in the football team they want, help him with these faults.

Its not so much of them being tough more then it is not showing up against Inferior teams. We play down to talent. The way we have played Im surely not gonna guarantee a win

I remember the good ole days when you would see speedy and strong starters on special teams. Now it's like backyard scrimmage players. Beamer was one of the first to use starters on special teams and now it's like he's backing away from it.
