Wow must be mile high DENVER on the Brain, replace sing with sign. Please don't slam me I've got application into UVA.
I would almost guarantee we wear Hokie Stone this week.
As for the grey pants, they just looked so bad and cheap in the picture of Gayle. I really hope that we do not wear those. I think we all agreed they were circa 1990 before we knew the picture was real.
I like the gray pants modification idea, and the maroon jerseys for that matter. You sir, should replace whoever throws together the ugly helmets and poor uniform combos that have scarred us all for life.
I would take Hokie stone helmet, maroon jersey, gray pants with double maroon stripes on the legs, and maroon shoes with gray accents.
Let's hope he wants to stay a Hokie for five whole years. He might get some advice to go pro in a few years though if he keeps up the recent production he's shown.
I think our d-line has to already have dibs on that but I like it!
Eh. All gray doesn't really strike me as a good look.
If this happens we should start calling our O-line the stone wall.
wow, that is a bus full of people injured. this game is going to be very interesting.
I wonder if Maryland knows that we are coming up the middle then left followed by right and finally up the middle again! Go Hokies!
I saw this retweeted by Andy Bitter earlier, and I guess it's up to date. That's some bad luck.
The worst part about Maryland's injury report for Saturday is that it's been worse, believe it or not: pic.twitter.com/Ly6dZv04LR— Paul Myerberg (@PaulMyerberg) November 14, 2013
NiCE worK! Sing that kicker up! Pronto!
The initial two-way tie-break for equal conference records goes to head-to-head result (therefore Duke wins this tie-break), not divisional record. To my understanding, divisional record only applies in the event of a 3+ way tie.
no worries, got it covered
Side story regarding goal post storming:
My younger sister's HS band got money by having parents volunteer as security at Duke football games (yeah, it's that bad). This is in 2002 or so.
When Duke beat ECU, the students stormed the field. The "security" gave a token resistance then let the students have the goal posts. My dad was at the opposite end of the field (the open end of the horseshoe) and after about 10 minutes of watching the students struggle to bring down the goal posts, he quipped to the cops next to him "Clearly not an engineering school." Cracked them up 'til they were crying.
GD we could have sooooo much fun on TKP with a Denfsive Lineman named Hand on our team! Will love it if it happens but not counting on it. Hoping we get Naddi cause atleast we can reference Naddi Daddi in same context. A great combo! Not sure if hand we be fit for us anyways. I want players that want to be HOKIES! I think we coach very well!
Duke already has two losses to GT and Pitt in the Coastal Division - even if they win out, the best record they can have in the division is 4-2.
We already have 4 wins in the Coastal division. If we win out (UVA is our last divisional opponent), we will be 5-1 in the division. That means, by virtue of a better divisional record, we go to the ACCCG, not Duke.
Probably a fat-finger slip. Chill.
A turkey leg for the clarification!
He was in "architecture." I heard him speak about one of his projects in an interview once... hence the quotes. He's as much of an architect as I am an NFL-caliber QB.
Not to belittle the guy too much, though... architecture in school just takes too much time. There literally aren't enough hours in the day to do both football and architecture well.
I hear he's not too bad at football, though...
Accidentally downvoted instead of upvoted :( No way to fix it.
He didn't graduate b/c he left early, but Calvin Johnson majored in Building Construction, which has now been merged into their CE program. I have a feeling there have been some more GT players with engineering degrees.
Bama's academics and civil engineering program aren't bad, but Auburn's the school in Alabama with the better engineering program IIRC. And of course VT and Michigan are top-10 according to US News and World Report. Really though it's hard to blame a kid for going to Bama when they want him. Bama puts d-linemen on the field quickly and in the NFL.
I remember that shirt. PFES was filled with it. I can't believe I forgot that one.

I heard that when the VT Equipment Room or whoever posts what the team will wear, they photoshop the uniform onto that James Gayle model. So I really REALLY hope they only looked that bad due to being poor photoshopped. I'd be a little disappointed if our athletic department spent money on something actually that ugly.
