I think VT didn't know what to do, they never had RV's in the commuter lots almost a full week before a game before. If memory serves correct, they just told the students to deal with it and carry on. I remember parking and seeing a guy sitting in a lawn chair grilling at like 10 on a Wednesday drinking a beer. I was torn weather to go to class or ask him to toss me one and grab a chair.
Yeah, it would be the first time we've had a recruit commit to us during a High School All American Bowl since Ryan Williams. Ah...good times

Props for the turtle kick gif. Not only was it one of the pantheon episodes of the Simpsons, it is appropriate and I love the look on the Turkey. Won't be able to make it to the tailgate, bringing my 1 year old to his first Hokie game and my 10 year old to his 5th. He has reminded me always "When I go to the games, we always win, we should just go to every game", so if you have a bookie take VT outright.
If you happen to find out what part of town, I've done my share of bar-hopping around here, let me know.
I just got off the phone with Bud Foster reading your message to him verbatim. He just growled back at me, which in his language I interpretted to mean "I'm taking care of this"
Probably, but since they already bought them, I doubt they will invest in changing them this season. With the budgets for athletic departments running close to the red every year its staggering how much they spend on different helmets.
Looks like UMD is waving the white flag already.
That is awesome and slightly wrong all at the same time.
Yeah...but I bet you didn't stop her.

I wish I had said that.
Was housemates with Chase Harrison who wrote the record books a few years back and helped get vt soccer established. Two things:
Soccer boys have a poker problem - epic games...
Infra-sport parties are awesome. (Vtvb girls are smokin$
I don't believe that we should have kept Cody by any means, don't get me wrong about that. I'm just saying that while everybody is cheering his dismissal and bad-mouthing him personally, most seem to look past the fact that his departure creates a gaping hole that has shown in the past to have the ability to cost us games. He wasn't as reliable this year, but the point is that it's a hole that is there and we should be concerned about that. Good for Beamer for sticking to his morals and not putting winning above them though.
Its easy to make excuses on why to keep Cody in the program; he's our best/only kicker, our offence isn't strong enough to win games without a consistent kicker, points are hard to come by this season, etc.
Beamer has done a lot to clean up Tech football. I was a student when we played Nebraska in the "Felon Bowl" because about 30 players from both squads had been in trouble with the law that year. I think one of those players is currently on the coaching staff.
If Frank had turned a blind eye by not getting rid of Cody, he loses credibility with the team. While winning games is his job, I'm glad to see him do the right thing and enforce his own rules. Winning football games is secondary to running a clean program, and Cody should have been gone two years ago, IMO.
As for the image of our "fanbase", I'm not sure anyone pays attention to that. What they do pay attention to is how many run-ins with the law and drug violations players have, and if they are still playing. Example, Jameis Winston.

Has Paul Johnson's offense been around long enough that everyone has learned to defend against it? Or does he just not have the horses to execute it this year?
I hope it starts this year if we play FSU.
Had a girl in my class do Interiors and be on the swim team. Teachers told her it would never work, but she somehow pulled it off.

Oh...Garfield minus Garfield.

To be honest..I'll say this once and drop it. He made his decision and I wish the kid the best. If I was in his shoes I'm sure it would be hard for myself or anyone not to turn down one of College Football's best teams and possibly coach. We're Hokie fans but please let's not be delusional Hokie fans. When we start to win those big games we will have our opportunity to get those kinds of players, because other schools won't use the pitch against us saying that "We lose big games". I hope it starts next year against Ohio State, because ladies gents were seriously due for one!
Thanks for the link. I "worked" on that a little yesterday, too. Every time I bumped up against Duke winning the Coastal I had to stop and start over.
Fuck all this non sense. Since we can't send the seniors off with at least a 3:30 game, let's send them off in #ALLMAROONEVERYTHING!
I fully expect Hokie Stone on Maroon on Maroon. While I would love to wear that against UVA, I think it's the closest we will get to #ALLMAROONEVERYTHING and it's our last home game. Gotta go out with a bang.

I was going to upvote, but then the "we can lose without him" comment got it back to neutral. Boo your negativity (but I didn't downvote).
