Well... we were technically scheduled as their homecoming opponent before the season started.
Also, Miami seems to have an odd selection criteria for homecoming, last year FSU was their homecoming opponent.

You absolutely cannot go ahead and buy tickets...after next week we should all be buying tickets if everything goes as planned. Is it weird that I am more worried about our performance against traitor UMD (#fuckthebig10) and LOLUVA #TIMELIMITEDONTIMECOP than I am against FSU...also, no. Tech plays to the ability of their opponents, if we get past these next two games we are gonna do something special against FSU. It will be Logans Last Stand. Also, we started with bottomless Mimosas this morning and have not stopped since, goddamnit I love winning weekends, we may have become a homecoming opponent after the last two gaffes, but we sure as hell can bring it when the chips are on the table.

1) I respect QBs in general for taking sack level punishment. Some hits are just unbelievable and they get back up for more.
2) Mettenberger cowboy'd up in that game and kept coming back.
3) Respect lost for LSU OL who apparently decided to give up
4) Respect gained for Hokies OL who played very well against that Defense. Wow
If Duke wins out, they'd need Clemson to beat GT (I know, likely, but it's Clemson and the ACC) to get in. If GT somehow beats Clemson VT would have the advantage because one of their ACC losses was to an Atlantic Division team while Duke and GT would have two losses to Coastal teams. It's in VT's best interests for GT and Miami to win.

I just want to say it again. I lost faith in Logan last week. I called for him to see decreased playing time. I didn't think he should lose his starting spot, but maybe if he starts turning it over at an excessive pace again then to maybe sit down for a series or two. But regardless of what I meant Logan just proved me completely wrong. He just bitch slapped me, and I couldn't be happier. I don't know him personally but everyone says he is a great person and it is obviously he works his tail off for everyone and everything. I am so happy for him and I hope he can at least play half as well as he did the other night consistently and I like our chances in every single game. Someone somewhere on this site said it if we can just score 4 TDs a game we win. Logan plays like that we could win everything!

QBR is a flawed stat, but it at least tries to adjust for opponents and as of now it's all we really have. It really does blow a hole in the idea that Thomas played well against BC except for 3 plays that some have tried to propagate.
Remember, they beat UF, an SEC team. And the SEC is so incredibly, amazingly deep of a conference that even Vanderbilt can beat Florida.

I've seen McAfee and Hughes exchange tweets several times now. I'm not sure the exact connection between the two though. I know Hughes sent a similar tweet out about McAfee several weeks ago when the Colts punter had a big hit on Sunday Night Football vs. the Broncos. All in all, everything about this play was just awesome.
