I don't think it was that he didn't want to pad the score. We went for it because he thought we could get it and probably score again. We were driving and Miami had not been stopping the run. One yard almost seemed like automatic that game. If we got that first down I think we would have scored again. I think at that point our gameplan was to "beat the snot out of Miami" as joe said.

Beamer is such a class act. Rather than kick a fieldgoal he was content with potentially turning it over on downs. How many other coaches would have taken the fieldgoal and padded the score a bit? They were talking about Auburn not taking their foot off the accelerator and that just seems so classless to me

I would never boo our players. I sit in the upper corner of North, and when the captains are walking to the tunnel before everyone else me and my friends scream to Logan until he points at us. He does it every time. So at least he knows there are some people still rooting for him.
