Fielding punts is a much more difficult challenge than catching the ball on a kickoff. If Mangus isn't there now, that means he probably isn't comfortable in that role.
forget that, chun li was my girl. thighs for days
The last time the Hokie Bird was in the Mascot Challenge we lost because after the first week, people seemed to stop voting. I KNOW we have the fan base to win this. People just need to keep showing up and voting every week.
Dhlasim. "I will meditate, and then destroy you."
Shoot, I'm hoping to coach a high school defense with the stuff I'm learning from French.
I used to visit the ESPN Blog everyday until I noticed a pattern. All the information I was getting about the Hokies and most other ACC teams other then Florida teams were links to outside columns like Bitter. The work ethic on most days is to take highlights from ESPN College shows and reshow them or just link out all the good stuff and taking credit. I got tired of giving ESPN credit for other reports hard work. As for watching highlights I feel like ESPN has transitioned to a more shock and awe hour instead of showing the news. There are more segments about what controversies are brewing than who did what on the field. I watch games only now and if I want to see highlights I switch to FX1 or check them out online. I don't have time to watch TMZ's Sports channel.
That hurts...how can you NOT know street fighter? E. Honda and Blanka FTW!
+100 points if you upload a video of you playing the position the hokie bird should play.
I kind of want to make a video in a #18 jersey having the ball thrown and just dropping it..then have someone come in with a #19 and catch the crap out of the ball. #dannycoaleisalwaysopen
With regards to Heather:
Typically, this fascinating creature roams open grasslands with small groups of her friends.
Guys she is interested in sometimes battle one another by butting their long necks and heads. Such contests aren't usually dangerous and end when one dude submits and walks away from the bar.
She uses her height to good advantage and browses on leaves and buds in treetops that few other people notice (acacias are a favorite). Even her tongue is long! The 21-inch (53-centimeter) tongue helps her pluck tasty morsels from branches. Heather eats most of the time and, like cows, regurgitates her food and chews it as cud. She eats hundreds of pounds of leaves each week and must travel miles to find enough food.
Oh and she occasionally tries to write a blog for ESPN.
I voted the crap outta this link, and will continue to stuff the box like a Chicago Political Boss!
I kept doing that silly little girl laugh like I shouldn't be laughing but couldn't help it cuz it was so damn funny

...sorry, I just had to....
I down voted you because it's not an either/or issue. It's not: trees OR foobaw! That perspective lacks vision and nuance. In fact, depending on the design and implementation of the new facilities, they (the facilities) could be considered top notch today and unique 20 years from now BECAUSE of the stadium woods. Also, not all of the fanbase wants to join the SEC. Some of us still believe College football should be about more than just "winning."
Apologies if I'm being a dick but binary thinking irks me.
Agreed. Show up early enough to get a good buzz before the game, make it to enter sandman, jump, and stay until the clock hits zero.
Experienced the Hoo tradition of them calling the cops on opposing fans personally. Only difference was, my buddy's older brother was a Charlottesville cop (off duty) at the time and went with us to the game with his cop buddies. We...may...have been slightly inebriated and somewhat disorderly on the hill area, but when we started getting into it with the UVA fans and they'd yell for the cops, my buddy's brother and his friends would hustle down and throw the UVA people out. Happened twice before they left us alone for the rest of the game. It was glorious.
Kalvin Cline! He is going to be a star.
Interesting thing was I did not expect Clemson to be ranked higher than us
Seriously, they have a hard enough time just being able to spell "Clemson." They always seem to forget what comes after the "o" for a good 3-5 seconds.
Awesome!! Pamplin Represent!
Interesting thing was I did not expect Clemson to be ranked higher than us, but at the same time I did not expect us to be ranked above Michigan State or Indiana either. I guess it was just my perceptions of colleges without really looking into facts.
Come on guys that's not all Heather Dinich does over there! She works hard and puts us on upset alert all the time! Ha.
while she makes a valid point no games being a gimmee, is 2 wins in the last 5 years ecu having its way the acc?

I mean, he did go from committing to Ohio State to now having to go to prep school and fight for even a chance to play so I'm not sure if he would feel entitled even if we did offer after what he's been through.
But I do agree with everyone that it's a tricky situation.

I agree with that...I think being the flagship school for South Carolina helps them.
I don't know how the formula for the rankings work but I feel like once VTCSOM is fully accredited it's going to help launch the school's overall ranking...more research grants for the school, pre-med kids who traditionally chose VCU over Tech because of MCV will go to Tech instead which will raise average SAT and GPA scores, improves the Virginia Tech brand name, more incentives for alumni to donate...I'm sure there are other positive things I'm missing
