True story, I always use the 46 defense in the red zone to stop runs and to put pressure on the quarterback. It's 50-50.
Just wish that NCAAF would let me customize the 4-4 instead of giving me generic plays. /rant
RG3 looks awful. Probably not his fault though.
Thanks dude, that'll be awesome when it's finished. I'm really excited to see what this will do for recruiting. I don't know where all the money is coming for the new scoreboard systems, a football practice facility, and a facility for the MVs (FINALLY!!!), but this will all be really nice when everything is finished.
I'm really starting to wonder how Exum will fit in when he gets back to the field?
Week Two is in the books
a few of you busted it big at 5-1: 2HokiesIn1, hokiesAllDaWay, Rocco & SpiderHokie
another went full Kiffin on us: VMI Hokie
Check behind me, I do my best.
Ill wait til week four or so to start looking at overall, but a couple of you are off to a fantastic start.

Let's call this secondary "F-Cubed:" Fuller, Facyson, and Fuller
No, what got us listed as a tough place to play is how intense the crowd was in games that mattered. None of the people making the rankings care how many fans are there when the clock hits zero. They want to see the stadium shaking when the home team takes the field. They want motion penalties on the away team because the crowd noise is deafening.
Just for perspective, I wore long sleeves and jeans to the Miami game in 2009 when it was pouring rain and we smoked them. My knees were shaking so violently, that I could hardly walk the next day because they were so sore. Why did I stay the whole time? Because nothing was sweeter than us proving that no, the U is not in fact back.
The fans aren't getting worse; the games are just getting less compelling.
Maybe one day I will tell my children: "I remember when they had sports on ESPN."
I'm going with what French has said based on his OL knowledge. I played WR/DB in High School (and on a not very good Single A team at that), French played OL in college, so I tend to trust his judgement on things related to OL skill and fit. Grimes has shown that he's willing to move his players around to get the best 5 on the field in the best positions for the team. He moved a 2 year starter at Center to RG and moved a frequently injured sometimes starter at LG to starting at Center, because he thought it put the best 5 linemen on the field that gave them strongest overall OL unit. Teller has only been at LT (outside of any work in High School) for about a month or so now, but French has raved about how he has the size, mobility, etc. to be a 1st round draft pick at LT if he picks it up the mental side well enough.
That wall is so empty it...looks so sad

I remember running on this all 4 years of high school...I think a two mile was around 16 laps
You know tOSU gave him a locker even though he never went there....
McGlock started two games, one being against the best front 7 in college football, lined up against the Tide's best pass rusher, and played very well at LT. Him and Gibson will be starting at both tackle spots the remainder of this year and again in 2014. What makes more sense to you: move an exceptional two year starter firmly entrenched at LT to the opposite side or get Teller ready to start at RT in 2015 while providing depth on both sides in 2014?
The football camp comment was about WCU's coach when he was on the App State staff
yes. But when all I'm wearing is shorts and a t-shirt it's tough to smuggle in enough booze to last 4 quarters..but I still stay till 0:00 regardless
Teacher's pet!
Can we make #FullerIslands or #FullerIslandChain a thing?
To that point, I'm sure plenty of people tried to give WCU tickets away and were unable to do so.
The whole "fanhood" thing has spiraled out of control among Hokies and leaked onto this board. Instead of chastising fellow Hokies, I'd like to see the community come up with a way to make the games a more entertaining experience. My personal opinion is that night games are a part of this and we have been shafted on getting decent Saturday night games for years now. Yes, it's unfortunate that fun traditions like "Stick it In" have given way to paper airplanes, but the fact of the matter is there's a ton of down time in football games and you have to keep the crowd engaged. Sandman is great but it has turned into the only thing we have. We could really use more cheers/traditions that unify the crowd and get people invested in the games. Clemson and Notre Dame have some very recognizable cheers and as much as I loathe aude lang syne, one must admit it's [a hilariously appropriate] way for the Hoos to keep their morale up.
So anyway, throwing paper airplanes and being rude is at the game is one thing, but if someone feels like leaving that's their choice. In my opinion, it's hard to fault the fan for not getting an entertaining experience. A good example is the sport of wrestling working to re-brand and rebuild their image after initially being cut from the Olympics. The whole point is to make the experience more engaging for those who aren't hardcore fans (essentially taking a page from MMA, boxing, and even pro wrestling). I believe that's the type of approach that truly addresses how to fix some of the issues people have with the gameday atmosphere.
Good point, his blocking was atrocious.
Post of the year candidate right here.
And by interesting do you mean awful?
I think Logan overthrew those two passes to Knowles, because he overthrew him against Bama. I'd much rather he overthrow and have Knowles sprint after it, than have Knowles try to fight for it. Most obvious statement ever: Knowles just isn't the physical type of receiver.

I wonder what Vick could have done under Chip Kelly's system, when he was a NFL rookie?
