Agree. Watching this thinking "Our WRs wouldn't catch that"

I'll have to go back and see who all was targeted on what plays, but the only guys I seemed to consistently see in the vicinity of the ball were Coles (redshirt Senior), Knowles (redshirt Soph), and Stanford (redshirt Freshman). These guys have already been redshirted and they still weren't doing their jobs.

I could not be more proud of our team tonight. Yeah, it would had been nice to get a win, but know what, I think that this team is going to make a lot of ACC DC very nervous going forward.

Going forward, I expect to see Virginia Tech returning to the power running football team that was being shown tonight. I wish Loeffler had called more running play, but know what, I'll take it. The dropped passes will be addressed. Moorehead is going to die trying to get that message across because it is simply inexcusable for two experienced receivers to have more dropped passes than UVA had fans at their spring game.

I'm calling it now. Trey Edmunds will either come close to or break David Wilson's single season rushing record if he keep playing a beast. The offensive line has been hell of a pleasant surprise. David Wang is mighty comfortable as a center and the rest of the line is solid. Grimes has clearly made the correct decision in naming his starting five. I shudder to think what happens when the #Fab5 comes to Blacksburg next once current players get experience under their belt.

The defense are going to be nasty. They made AJ's life miserable to the point he was pouting and calling out his teammates on the field, captured by ESPN's cameras.

They don't give place for moral victory, but fuck that shit, the Hokies may not won on the scoreboard, but stat line tells a whole another ball game.

One final thought: if Frank is serious about putting veterans on special teams, that would be welcomed because that is what made Pride and Joy feared.

No one is defending the drops. But you have to put yourself in those kids shoes. Some of those kids never should have been on the field they were forced to play before they were ready. The kids would normally be redshirted in our system.

I think we should really go after receivers that won't need much polish and isn't scared to come across the middle to catch a pass. Heck of we had the receiving core from least year we would have been able to contend offensively with them in my opinion.

We need to just run Paul Johnson's offense this season, until our receiver corps shows vast improvement. But hey, we knew they'd be raw

I would hate to be DJ Coles in the meeting tomorrow when Moorehead goes over the tape of that interception. Gonna make that tirade during the saturday practice look like a pat on the head.

Agree. Special teams will be fixed. Especially against lesser opponents. Overall I'm actually quite happy with our showing.

Different players adjust to pressure differently especially some freshman that never been in this kind of environment. Kendall played great but he's not your typical freshman.

Oh, they'll get (and deserve) a rant or two. The reason I have hope is a report I read (maybe Andy Bitter's) that described the attention to detail that Moorehead had while working with either Carlis Parker or Josh Stanford regarding lining up, footwork, timing, etc. It seemed he was very attuned to proper technique, which is why I'm still scraping my jaw off the floor at the horrendous performance tonight from that group.

I hope the Fullers all make more Fullers. Then, in 20 years, we field an entire team of Fullers. And they wear all maroon. #alloftheFullersinallmarooneverything

If that was true about the pressure then the line and Edmund's wouldn't have played their balls off. If the pressure was too much bamas sec powered offense would've ran us out. Same poor route running and hands catching as last year.

Fair. I just got a little turned off from the all access show and the comments he had for the group. It just seems like a lot of "ah. Come on. You can do better" and not a lot of coaching. Could have been the editing. I will take your advice and be patient. But I wouldn't mind another rant like the one he had at the scrimmage.

Offense: Edmunds is a stud. Receivers need to do 10000 pushups. Logan is an enigma.

Defense: I could not be more proud this group. Wow. So much talented youth.

Highlight of the night: Fuller laying the wood for his little bro. The world needs more Fullers.
