True, and South Carolinians have a very health appetite/knowledge for all things football.
My wife is a born/raised Carolina girl and can talk football with the best.
She once recognized then Panthers coach John Fox in a bar and proceeded to ask him to consider utilizing Peppers as a wideout to run the fade to. 3rd preseason game that year, he did, and my wife took credit for giving him the idea...

I love southern girls....

At least we got them back in 2010 with a 90-yard KO return. David Wilson untouched to the end zone followed by Sandman on repeat.

To be fair, we should come up with a gender bias analogy. It's more like going to watch the Book of Mormon, and not knowing who the lead actor is. I am not a huge fan of musicals, like my wife is, but I'm super excited to see this musical as it will probably be the funniest thing I see, maybe ever. And I have no idea who the lead is.

It's like applying to be an American citizen and not even knowing who the president is. I'm sure she can be a good "fan" if all it takes to be one is yelling at a game while scrolling through twitter on your phone and leaving at halftime.

umm... So what. She'll be there and yelling from the sidelines. Hell, I couldn't pick out Grant Noel from a crowd of 2, so I would've been in the same boat as her as a freshman. Let it go. She'll learn. This is probably her first true exposure to Hokie football, and by all accounts, she is starting it off right with season tickets.

That is sad. My parents who live in South Carolina have no relation to Virginia Tech besides the fact that I'm a huge fan (I didn't go to Virginia Tech, or any college for that matter) but even they could tell you the past 3 QBs at Virginia Tech.

Went into lane stadium Thursday night.. Took a few pics. This one is behind North.

This one is on the field. That board is insanely bright..

Yeah, that's true. But if you have season tickets you usually have some love for the game or knowledge of the game. I might be extrapolating a little bit but they seem like they're just looking for the next party scene to hangout with their friends. They might not even watch the game. Or maybe they'll leave at halftime.

Sorry for the mini rant but as a die-hard fan it's an aggravating thing to see.

And yet, they have season football tickets. You missed that important part.

Microcosm of the ills of the student section these days....

This group has loads of potential... I'm excited to see them mash some Bama defenders.

When I had to go back on campus Thursday night, the whole place was lit up from the scoreboard, all I could think is damn these players are gonna go blind if we ever have a night game.

Gibson looks the part no doubt. It would have been nice for the announcement to have come a week ago but we have them in place for Bama prep week. I'll be interested to see the stats from todays scrimmage.

Seriously. Dude looks like he could pass for Wolverine.

At the very least, they're all getting some valuable experience early in their careers.

Thanks for making this! I like actually being able to see it laid out like that. If not every game, maybe you could just make these for the big games where there is a lot on the line?
