The good news for JJ this year is that he really can only surprise us in a nice way this year.
The key to getting through this season is going to be looking for the little victories. As long as we continue to get better each game then I'm happy with our season, regardless of the record.
Yeah, I would go barely under. There are 8 winnable OOC games, so we'll surely screw one or two of those up. And I don't see more than 2 or 3 wins in conference.

That would have been a pretty big risk of the Skins at the time. It would have been awesome, but nobody at the time thought Taylor was a sure thing starter in the NFL and really even now, we can't say for sure he is. Drafting Tyrod would have been a longer-term investment and Skins fans were getting very impatient.
RGIII, even though we gave up a lot for him, delievered instant results and we can now build around him.
Wish my 'Skins drafted him prior to the year they got RG3 -- not that RG3 isn't good or anything, but having Tyrod back there (a la RG3) we wouldn't have had to trade our 1st rounders and might be an all-round better team.

CUSA isn't one of the 6 BCS conferences. The "new CUSA", or the AAC, is one, but only til next year when there's only going to be a "Big 5" conferences in the playoff system.
Tyrod is by far the one VT Alumni in the NFL today that I desperately want to see succeed. I know he can be great, you know he can be great, but its the people outside of VT that I want to be convinced of that. Tyrod can do it, he just needs his shot.

edit to cut out wrong info. KC did play CB, SS and FS in college. He played FS to help VT, but I dont think he was ever going to be looked at as a FS in the NFL.
