Agreed... I'll always prefer the old scoreboard rear design; it was so graphical and iconic. The new proposal is just a mess, graphically speaking. No hierarchy to the text, the photo thing is just tacky (with the obviously awesome exception of putting the horse a treadmill on it) and a rip-off of a similar thing they did for Tennessee, so it isn't even original:
This for me (class of 2010) will always be the iconic image I have of Lane.
Getting rid of the rich, bold typography that gleamed in the sunset and replacing it with a bland attempt to display our history instead of building on it is a mistake. I'd be willing to look into alternatives, but the RFP illustrations ain't it.

Agreed! I forget who else is in his top 5, but I'm sure they are all way better than UMD football wise. I wonder what his main factors are. Maybe distance from home?
Perhaps we should say the same to you...
He should wait until after UMD falls flat and sucks so that he doesn't have to worry about de-committing from them.

Piggybacking on #2... I actually expected people to have better educational backgrounds seeing how I went to public school in a small town and ended up being surprised that I knew as much or more than basically everyone else. So don't be intimidated thinking everyone is going to be way smarter and you don't have a chance to make good grades either. It's all about applying yourself and taking care of business.
Agree with everything you said except for the smallest meal plan. Get your parents to get you the BIGGEST meal plan possible and STILL add on. I got the big one every year, even off campus.
Eat yourself to death and relish it. Food sucks after college when you have to cook and/or pay for it.
My parents thought the hurricane sounded too dangerous to drive through (though we were an hour away in Lynchburg) so we stayed home and watched it on TV.
Because of that, it is one of my least favorite football memories. I still have the ticket complete with the tear-away stub at the top (back in the day). I get sad every time I look at it...
I wouldn't be surprised if UMD has a decent season. They had a Linebacker playing QB last season & Diggs still had a great year. They may turn some heads and end up 3rd or 4th in the Atlantic.
