In fairness to those receivers, I'd like to think we had better QB play 2010-2012 (maybe not so fast on that last year) vs. 2006-2008. I'm not sure if I'd trade for those receivers if it meant getting Glennon back under center.

I think you're mistaken about Nandi's size.. he is 6'1" 299lb. (let's call it 6'0" 290lb to account for h.s. recruiting inflation)
Darryl Tapp is 6'1" 270lb after 6 years in the pros.
I wouldn't call Nnadi the bigger player, not smaller.
I would also like to understand how a trip-set left or right effects this as well. Based on that, you can tell if its easily man or zone and attack accordingly too, right? Having a 4-WR set that's even is easier to disguise than having an trips.

Well yeah... there are a lot more 2 & 3 star prospects than there are 4-5 star. 4-5 star as a percentage are overwhelming more likely to make it to the pros than 2&3 star prospects.

Okay good, phew. Always liked Nnadi better; reminds me of Darryl Tapp. Smaller, but with so much intensity and heart. Really hope we get him.
Maybe we wont 'need' the superstar talent that kept us a float if we have a functioning offensive scheme and line play.

I don't think so, that was for Brown's announcent. They don't seem to be fans of each other, especially since Brown is constantly being said to be the better of the two and it has put a chip on Nnadi's shoulder.

Rivals data show that more 2-3 stars get drafted to the NFL than 4-5 stars. Projections for lineman in HS are just too uncertain. Guys with work ethic and a chip on their shoulder seem to do better than those with tons of accolades. Lots of factors involved but Coach Grimes seems to have the right blueprint. It's back to the future for VT football.
