That is the beauty of the offense. A little piece of me dies when college offenses line up in the shotgun on 3rd and 3. If you can't run for 3.3 yards on a 3rd and 3, to me, you don't deserve to win the ballgame.
Is always brutal to watch. You think our defense is playing well on every down until you see they've moved 70 yards in 8 minutes.
to step up...It seems like we can never recruit much size, so looks like we will have small forwards playing power forward all season. Again, foul trouble will be an issue throughout the year.
I'd suffer through another Thursday night UNC loss if it guaranteed us a spot in the ACC Championship game and rematch with Clemson. Losing to Virginia just isn't, nor will it ever be, an option for me. If I had to only pick one to win it would be Virginia. Credit to the Hoos, they are recruiting better, but I think they're close to their peak, there's more space for them to fall back than there is to ascend. The best way to knock them down is to keep beating them. Eventually, London's "we're building something" line will fall on deaf ears.
Of those who have picked every week, I AM dead last...... ugly, ugly stuff.
Ali Larter. Outstanding.
Troll analysis is very good at trolling. I really like the part that it is supposed to be all about the ACC, yet he can't help himself but stick in something about Ohio State.
This bye week, in particular, dust off your old DVD of the 2004 VT-GT game in ATL, skip to the last 6 min, grab some lotion, and go to town. (Hindsight stat: Tech's D held Calvin Johnson to 51 yds on 4 catches)
Damn I miss watching wrestling. This may be stupid to ask but college wrestling uses the Folk Collegiate style correct? I know the Olympics mixes in Greco-Roman. Also, you have any idea on pinning techniques we like to use a lot? Our coach in HS taught the cradle almost exclusively.
I'm an idiot and didnt check on that. Replaced him with Muddy Waters.
I was toying with the idea of a bye week grill recipe but decided not to. Instead I encourage everyone to spend the weekend booking a trip down to Atlanta next week.
B.B. King is not dead! Actually, he was still on tour as of this past summer.
jump on a new internet meme in a timely manner...
VT's defensive injuries > Tebow
Having the snow ruin the DirecTV feed for the 2nd half > Tebow
Excuse me: not willing, but could stomach it a little more than the other two.
Gotta be willing to throw rivalries away for the division; however, I don't ever want to lose to UVA (though the streak will end at some point). We NEED the GT win to put a stranglehold on the division. Can get both- I am willing to swallow the pill of losing another one, at home, on a Thursday night (which I will be attending) to setup the division championship showdown in Hooville.
Saturday is the first day of Deer Season (black powder season at least) in VA!!!! It falls perfectly on a bye week! So, no listening to the radio in the tree stand, no missing out on that big buck because you're sitting in Lane stadium... someone was looking out for us hunters on this one!
Of those who have picked every week, I am just shy of dead last -_-
I know Phreak is still looking for a copy, his DVR screwed up the recording.
I voted for UNC because I have witnessed, firsthand, a loss to them already. 2009 on Thursday night. Actually they vacated those wins. So wait, they didn't win, and neither did we. I also took off work, bought a plane ticket and hotel room in DC for my visit. How about some reparations for that? Maybe pay for my visit this year on Nov. 17th. I may eat my vote as I have traveled back to watch the Hokies twice since moving to Seattle, 2 losses. This will either be my last visit ever or when I get home, my wife will have hired Butch's tutor to help me on a computer security certification.
I want to win my final home game as a student at all costs. That one is a must win for me.
Sorry folks for the lack of follow up, but I have not been able to get a copy of the game film yet this week.
Of those who have picked every week I am only 4 wins behind but am in the middle of the pack. It is a really tight race.
if he was crying. too worried about not seeing the stanford game to pay attn to the wisky game after the hail mary.
...should not be seeing the field as much as he is. His effort blocking downfield is awful, and he has really bad hands. I remember last year the coaches were concerned over his ball-skills, so they forced him to catch passes with tennis balls strapped to his hands. Clearly the coaches knew it was a concern then, and it still should be because he really doesn't catch the ball well. There is no chance he catches that ball Boykin caught on the post. It's rare to see him catch a ball away from his body, and when he does, he often juggles it. DJ Coles should be getting his snaps and be targeted more - great hands, powerful runner, moves great in space, and is probably the best downfield blocker behind Coale.

I have a feeling this one is going to be like '09 all over again. I hope I'm wrong, but I sense it.
