- David Wilson needs to do some more HB sweeps. He's just too fast, and a lot of the time I see the outside lanes open. I'm also a fan of outside runs.
-Was it just me, or did the rushing defense step up? It was something I had been waiting to see all year, even it was against lowly UVA. Although I've never seen our rushing defense as good as it was against Maryland in 2008, when I believe Maryland had -12 rushing yards.
Both teams can play the underdog role in this game equally. Florida State was used to being the one to carry the ACC banner, and we have done that lately. We can use this game to show the country that we do know how to play football and that we are able to beat Florida State in a game that really matters. Tyrod should have some extra motivation for this game because of how he got injured in 2008 on the very first play of the game.

Brewery is about 5 minutes from me, and they've opened up a pizza pub with their stuff on tap. I think this is the best American ESB I've had. (Dogfish hasn't tried one yet...I checked on Monday at the brewpub!)

I think the coaches will treat this game as an opportunity to get the monkey off their back, and they should. However, I hope the players don't carry the weight of '99 with them into Charlotte. It's not their burden. I hope they're living in the now, not looking ahead at what can be, not looking back at would could have been.
On the flip side I think there's some added pressure on Jimbo. He knows FSU is positive in the ledger against VT and I believe most Seminole fans expect them to win this game.

This week is going to go very well for one of us, and very badly for the other.
