Good, 7th season is absurd.

The one thing that annoys me in the eligibility conversation one of the main reasons is to keep player safety in mind as a 24-25 year old against a 17-18 year old is physically completely different and can endanger the younger players.

I long to return to 4 years and no more conversations like this involving the evil scum of the earth blood sucking lawyers.

Shocking twist when a college athlete decides to not go to a place that won 3 games last season.

We haven't even gotten to the spring game and this is a take already?

He made his millions because of Indiana sports so its kind of shocking that he wasn't involved more. (His first company was created because he was pissed he couldn't watch a basketball game)

I'll be honest that I haven't really watched much of Indiana's games this year. The two things I found most interesting last night was when they talked about the quality of life and work/life balance that the assistant coaches and staff talked about and that Cignetti told the announcers that he looks for production in the portal not potential. The way the coordinators and assistants talked about it, Cignetti has the potential to keep his staff intact long-term. And his portal strategy combined with his NIL war chest have the potential for him to keep this success going long-term as well. It will be very interesting to see what he does when he loses his Heisman-winning QB and the JMU guys who were obviously 100% bought-in and followed him to IU start to graduate and move on.

Add in their other 2 ranked opponents, they've outscored them 200-65

I don't follow the leap from "we didn't get every single guy we might want" to "we didn't try for any of them". FSU and Tennessee have 10's of millions of dollars, too.

I don't know if it's accurate or not, but Cowherd has been saying the last week that Cuban wrote a $12 million check for their football team. If that's true and, like you said, combined with the high end earners that they apparently churn out, they will be well-founded for a while.

Indiana has outscored their opponents 107-35 in their last 3.

Virginia tech red shirt Aaron Seidel just ran through yet another tournament @ F&M.
He teched all 6 opponents on his way to the title. The first 5 he teched in the 1st period. This included a 16-1 first period tech over Max Gallagher in the semifinals.

In the finals he had Isaiah Cortez, a Cornell greyshirt who only lost to Ben Davino 4-1 in Sudden Victory this season. Seidel teched Cortez 15-0 but this one didn't quite make the first period as he was taken into the 2nd period doing it in 4:29.

Thus far, in his redshirt campaign, Seidel is 11-0 and has not had a match go the duration.
He has 2 falls and 9 techs.

We have so many issues with our program that taking coaches that you know you can work with verse a flashier hire makes sense. I think lots of people underestimate how little talent we had on the team and we will be starting to be able to out talent teams in the ACC. Having stable coaches allows Franklin to manage upwards to make sure the athletic department doesn't keep doing what its been doing.

He apparently had but not at the levels he reportedly is now. Not sure who finally sold him on it. Whoever it is probably deserves a couple million bonus in their stocking

can confirm, we'd bring pepperoni rolls to the state swim meet in Berkley and wed get odd looks for eating just rolls.
