I don't find him unbearable, but (from what I've seen, which isn't much) I don't think he has much to share that's much different from run-of-the-mill fan.

He does do this kinda annoying thing where he hints at something being sourced, but really it's just a rumor that fits his narrative. "I'm hearing X could happen. If it does happen, then you know Y is true. If it doesn't then it's because of Z." And then when it does, it's a lot of told-ya-so, but when it doesn't, he finds a way to explain it away.

But I suppose I should just be grateful that there are (relatively) mainstream college football personalities who aren't just barstool/barstool adjacent.

It's all gossip, no one knows the actual number. From my Auburn friends, Hugh Freeze was giving out money like candy and the top players for Auburn last year (Coleman, Simmons, Faulk, etc.) were a lot. I would not be surprised if some of them were making 500k -1M

I'd argue that making money in the film business means SOMEONE (or a lot of someones) think he's funny. He's just catering to his audience. The fact that Pauley Shore ever starred in a movie is the same phenomenon.

Whatever you want to call it, he seemed to be able to call plays that worked (for the most part) for the players we had. It did seem like there were a couple games where they weren't as effective, but we got points on the board. I think our defense just wasn't able to get the stops to get the W's.

He is extremely talented. Auburn has not had great QB play the last few years.
He is probably the best player available in the portal... but I do not know if he will be worth the price tag he is asking.

56 catches for 708 yards and 5 TDs. Led them in receiving. The entire Auburn staff is turning over though so likely looking for a bump in NIL plus coaches he thinks will max his chances.

BRM on Sons of Saturday pretty consistently describes Bowen as "calling plays, not running an offense." Gotta say I agree. Bowen called lots of individual good plays year two, but if we were off script we were fucked. Of course under Monty, he installed an offense, the intent was much more obvious, it was just the absolute wrong offense with the horses he had.
