Same here! Saw all three of the originals in theaters (as they were meant to be seen). The first I saw 9 times in theaters! NEVER watched a single minute of the prequels or sequels and have zero desire to ever do so.
I think Mr. Miller will do a fine job as rector. He has chaired the Finance and Resource Management committee and has always run efficient and productive meetings. He has a strong analytical mind, looks for new opportunities to push forward. I look forward to working with him (I was re-elected to my role on the BOV so I'll serve for another year).

Big time. He's speaking specifically about his personal experience with his dad and Hokie football.
I interpreted that line to be a direct reference to Marty's fandom being passed down to him from his dad, a Tech alumnus.
This! Marty has both spoken and written extensively about how much Hokie football means to him because his dad brought him up going to games together.
I mean QP finished like 6-7th IIRC? Tyrod Taylor was also an Elite 11 qb.
The MVPs of Elite 11 have a really good track record so I think as you get to the top you should have some more confidence in their ability at the next level.

Sorry to hear that, but all too familiar. We mark some time frames in our memories by our dogs at the time. One of the biggest compliments I have received in my life was one a buddy once paid me. He said that if he died before me, he hoped he'd come back as one of my dogs. And as painful as it is to lose them, I can't seem to live without a dog. Down to one now, hope to outlive her.

I think LA pointed that out to sort of address some of the sentiment above that this might have been a political move. Love our governor or hate her, if her reason for the removal is true then she did a great job working to protect the University we all love.

The Star Wars prequels are objectively bad movies and are only loved because of nostalgia. The sequel trilogy is as bad, but not worse.
No nukes yet though!

Women's college basketball has better ratings than the WNBA. The elite eight games this year averaged 2.7m which was down from last year, the fibal four games averaged 5.2m. The wnba finals averaged 1.5m, also down fron last years 1.6, how've those are the top two most watched years.
So I would expect a more popular league would pay better than a less popular league.

If you described the prequels to someone who only saw the original trilogy (senate manipulated, fall of the jedi, anakin's path to the dark side), they'd be like "ok yeah that makes sense". If you described the sequels to that same person they'd be like "WTF"
