The NCAA '13 team ratings have leaked. Virginia Tech is a 95 overall (88 offense, 99 on defense), with a 5 of 6 "prestige". Derrick Hopkins, Bruce Taylor, and James Gayle are rated Tech's top players at 93. (More roster grabs are here.) Somehow LT3 is just an 89.

The Independence Bowl opening became available when the Mountain West opted to take an available opening in the Armed Forces Bowl, which previously had a tie in with BYU. The Cougars, who were contracted to the Armed Forces Bowl in 2011, have an agreement with the Poinsettia Bowl in 2012 and the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl in 2013.

I'd like to see Boston College get pounded by an SEC team, but, LOL, they're not going bowling any time soon.
