Reports: Major Violations At Oregon

Documents released by the University of Oregon show the school and the NCAA agree "major" violations were committed by the football program, both The Oregonian and Portland, Ore., television station KATU reported Monday.

Honestly, who didn't see this one coming? Just like Pete Carroll got out while he still could from USC, so did Chip Kelly. Programs that magically rise to dominance these days, always are bending or breaking the rules.

Can we all say DUH????? And Oregon like USC will go back to being just another team!

One begins to wonder if a team can rise to the level of the NCG without soiling themselves. I hope so. We seem to run a pretty tight ship, perhaps to our detriment regarding the championship, but I'd rather do it right than do it dirty.

We let go of one of the best quarterbacks in the country because of character issues; not many coaches/programs would do that. Especially considering the quarterback we were left with.

*cough* Glennon *cough*

I'd be happy if his name were never spoken here again.

I blame Glennon for Marcus Vick's character issues, because why not?

I still think Ike should hold far more blame in that whole mess than Glennon. Glennon wasn't suppossed to start. He was just suppossed to backup Ike, who was suppossed to be Marcus' heir. Unfortunately, Ike couldn't learn the playbook/stay out of trouble and Glennon had to step in. Not his fault 2 starting qbs ahead of him washed out.

If Ike had lived up to his billing, we would have gone seamlessly from Marcus, to Ike, to Tyrod (who would have redshirted).

exactly

like (i think) joe has said on here before: the hands that raise the crystal ball are rarely clean.

They can beat UVA with their second team and walk-ons.

They can beat UVA with their cheerleading team.

I wouldn't mind at all being wrapped-up by some of Oregon's cheerleaders!

Amen, bro!

I'd say the Pac12 wins in this area. Songbirds anyone? ASU?

Previously LowBrau.

I'd let them tackle me anytime!

The TSA needs to hire former Oregon cheerleaders.....it would cut complaints by half!

I was just thinking about that. Am I only person that gets pissed off about this? It's possible that our NC trophy case wouldn't be empty if teams weren't cheating. I mean i'm sure there are other schools that haven't been caught, hell who knows if we've done some things in the past or whatever. But it still bothers me knowing that it seems we've been doing it the right way and deserve a NC more than some of these other teams that are cutting corners.

Willie Lyles traces back to LSU as well, right? If it's sticking to Oregon, maybe it'll stick there...

This is how we win the MNC: make sure everyone else is ineligible!

Major Fashion violation?

@VTimHokie85

Am I suprised? No. Just more surprised that it took them that long to say, "Um, yeah, we committed major violations with Chip Kelly," and then I realized this is the NCAA who had to investigate themselves for the way they investigated Miami.

So I'll just say #goncaa.

I support Logan Thomas and make no apologies for it.

Oh, wow, Oregon. You committed NCAA violations.

Not surprised. At. All.

Remember when the NFL suspended Jim Tressel for trying to leave his OSU job for an NFL job in order to avoid the NCAA suspension? Well let's see if Goodell has the balls to do it to Chip Kelly, because the reports are that he was directly involved in the cheating.

Rip his freaking head off!
