I know waayy too much about this. He went to high school near Lynchburg...my g/f went to the same high school as him. No VT affiliation other than he went there for college.

I went to Jefferson Forest. There aren't any students there from Appomattox, at least not naturally. The way the counties/school zones are, people who live in Appomattox would never be able to take a bus to school, and gas for driving to Jefferson Forest and back each day would be costly. I'm not saying it's impossible that he went to JF, but it is unlikely.

Yea, the g/f didn't think he was from Appomattox either, so my guess is that his family moved to/from there. That or maybe he transferred his senior year or something. Who knows..

He played golf for Jefferson Forest and was really good at it. Parent's moved to Appomattox his junior or senior year and he stayed to finish at JF. A few years after high school he went to Atlanta to work if I remember right. He has always been a good guy and a huge VT fan even though he never went to school there (as a student). Kudos to him trying to handle that crazy train.

Where did he go to high school? He's from Appomatox, VA. For those that don't know that's like 20 minutes east of Lynchburg.
