Hokies are a leader for 2015 DB DuWayne Johnson

According to Ryan Bartown of 247Sports Virginia Tech is a leader for DuWayne Johnson. DuWayne is a 3-star corner in the class of 2015 (Woodson H.D. in Washington, DC), but more importantly if he plays at Tech we can call him "The Rock" for 3-5 years.

"I like Virginia Tech, Georgia and Notre Dame," Johnson told 247Sports recently at his high school. "Virginia Tech has recruited me the hardest. They have a leg up as theyve made me a priority."

What has the Hokies on top for the Washington (D.C.) Woodson H.D. standout?

"I really liked the atmosphere there when I went to their Spring Game during my sophomore year," Johnson said. "(Wide receivers) coach (Aaron) Moorehead came to see me. I talked to Josh Morgan and he told me how it was there. I like their fans and how everything shuts down in their down on game days."

His offer list is impressive.

"Arkansas, Georgia, Clemson, Miami, Virginia Tech and Michigan State are my main offers," Johnson said. "I'm getting interest from Alabama, Florida State and Notre Dame. I'm hoping Florida and Alabama offer."

"The Big Ten is always using excuses to cancel games with us. First Wisconsin. Then Wisconsin. After that, Wisconsin. The subsequent cancellation with Wisconsin comes to mind too. Now Penn State. What's next? Wisconsin?" -HorseOnATreadmill
