Beat Marshall, a team I like.

Some, or many of you, probably weren't around that winter of '73 when Tech beat Notre Dame and won the then still meaningful NIT. Watchng as many games as possible on the boob tube, I remember being enthralled by Marshall fans as during one Tech game (maybe the Semi) the camera came in on them and the announcers commented how since they were now knocked out of the tourney they had turned their attention to cheering for Tech, and just as enthusiastically as Tech fans. I've always wondered if Bobby Stevens, Allen Bristow and gang on the court might have received a little lift by having an extra cheering section in the Garden as they took the title.

Since then, when not playing Marshall I always pull for them in any sport. That said today it's all GO HOKIES!
