Reports: RB Trey Edmunds Transfers to Maryland

According to HokieHaven.com and Chris Coleman of Tech Sideline, running back Trey Edmunds is transferring to Maryland for his senior season.

First reported by @ChrisColemanTSL but can confirm that Trey Edmunds will be transferring to Maryland for final year of eligibility. #Hokies— HokieHaven.com (@Hokie_Haven) January 21, 2016

Edmunds graduated and will play right away. It makes sense for him, as he fell behind Travon McMillian on the depth chart and would be among a log jam of backs in contention for #2.

FWIW, Trey's father Ferrell played in College Park in the 80s.
