Nerd Fact #1: Nebraska just looks to be in a rough spot. They dropped an early game to Colorado and won by 4 points last week over perennial power house Illinois.
Nerd Fact #2: I like to pronounce the s in Illinois because people get really heated by it.
Pick: Give me the Buckeyes. Who makes these lines? This is a 17.5 spread but UVA got a 30+ point spread last week? What a joke.
Clemson (-27)
vs UNC
Nerd Fact #1: I'm actually wondering what the spread for a VT v Clemson game would be right now. 27 points is a lot.
Nerd Fact #2: UNC twitter has been talking about shocking the world all week which seems to be a pretty big shot to call considering I'm on the fence on whether they cover or not.
Pick: I'm going to hate myself for doing this, but give me UNC. I think they lose by 24 after picking up a TD late in garbage time.
Washington State
vs Utah (-5.5)
Nerd Fact #1: The once red hot PAC 12 now is struggling to find the conference favorite after Utah lost last week.
Nerd Fact #2: That leader was... Cal? I would have had them as my PAC 12 game for the week if they had a Saturday Game.
Pick: I think Utah loses in a hangover game. Washington wins outright.
Kansas
vs TCU (-16.5)
Nerd Fact #1: I often wonder if that sad Kansas fan is still sad or not.
Nerd Fact #2: Horned frogs can shoot blood from their eyes as a defense mechanism.
Pick: I honestly haven't seen either team enough to make an educated prediction so it's gutcheck time. KANSAS wins by 30 and people on this board continue to go nuts trying to figure out if we are total garbage or mostly garbage.
Miss St
vs Auburn (-11)
Nerd Fact #1: Everytime I go looking for pictures of fans, I find something that will haunt my dreams for a while. Thanks Mississippi State.
Nerd Fact #2: Odd Year Auburn is real folks. I am hereby putting the SEC on notice.
Pick: Auburn is too spooky right now for me to pick against them and they will only get spookier with spooky month around the corner.
