WBB host Clemson Feb 8 at 6 PM

The Lady Hokies host Clemson today at 6 PM. The game is on ACCNx. Clemson is 8-15 and 2-10 in ACC play. Their two wins were at LOLUVA(0-10) and at Wake Forest(2-10). Not a very impressive resume.

Their tallest starter is 6'2"; but they do have two 6'3" freshman players that come off the bench. Interestingly, there are three players who have played significant minutes, but are not listed on the roster on their website. Elliott is in the transfer portal and Lewis has retired from basketball. I could not find anything on Latrese Saine. She played in 22 games and started 8; but her bio has disappeared from the Clemson website. She last played against Louisville on Feb 3.

Clemson does not shoot the three ball very well, averaging 27% as a team. Their most prolific three-point scorer averages a little over 1 made three per game. Without Saine, they don't have anyone to match up against Kitley other than the two freshmen, who don't play much.

This game should be a tune-up to get ready for Ga Tech and UNC coming to Blacksburg on Thur(8PM) and Sun(1PM). The Ladies should cruise through this one; but the next two are going to be challenging. Ga Tech is #11 in the AP and #16 in the coaches. UNC is #23 and #22. GA Tech is a Regional Sports Network game and UNC is ACCNx.
