thus answering the age old question from Clara Peller.....

From the 2018 VT-uva game-"This is when LEGENDS are made!"

Ok. So coach Moore can recruit. Sooooo glad he wasn't up to WVU's standards.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

To the extent the Neil Brown era had any success at WVU it was primarily due to the OL which ranged from good to very good, with many players getting to the NFL. Coach Moore was the primary reason for that quality and until I hear a legitimate reason I will always be baffled by the excuse he was not up to WVU's standards. Rich Rod blew that decision in my book.

Life is good.

WVU OL Coach: https://wvusports.com/sports/football/roster/coaches/jack-bicknell-jr-/4474

He rejoined Rodriguez as a member of his staff after the two worked together at Ole Miss in 2019.

and

Bicknell has more than 35 years experience coaching offensive lines at the collegiate and NFL levels and comes to WVU after serving as the offensive line coach at Wisconsin in 2023.

This reads like RR wanted his guy that he worked with before, that also has a shit-ton of experience in coaching some OLs that performed very well.

Bicknell spent the 2021 season at Louisville, leading an offensive line that helped the Cardinals rank No. 22 nationally and No. 3 in the ACC in rushing and No. 21 nationally in total offense. Louisville ranked first in the ACC in fewest sacks and tackles for loss allowed.

In 2019 under Rodriguez as offensive coordinator, the Rebels were one of the top rushing teams in the nation, finishing second in the SEC and ninth in the country.

Bicknell came to Miami after spending the 2013 season as the offensive line coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers. While in Pittsburgh, Bicknell's unit helped running back Le'Veon Bell amass 1,259 yards from scrimmage, the most by a Steelers rookie.

Before joining the Steelers, Bicknell served as the offensive line coach for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2012, when he directed a unit that was instrumental in helping running back Jamaal Charles return to All-Pro form after an ACL injury cut short his 2011 season.

Seems like this guy knows how to coach an OL.

Wanting your guy makes sense, calling the former Oline coach shit is just well so on point for RichRod.

St Johns pipeline back up?

Outside it's night time, but inside it's LeDay

Had offers from Duke and Stanford, heard he wants to go into engineering.

Mama didn't raise no fool, he's here to play school as well.

So important to get more wins this year. Staff needs to step up, rest of the team needs to step up. This OL improvement can set the team up for success, but if the team goes 5-7 or 6-7 and Pry is canned, all these recruits are gone anyway. Oh please, let's take a step forward on the field this year and keep the momentum going.
