What will you be looking for tonight in Buzz Williams's year two debut? The Hokies are set to face an Alabama State team coming off a 19-10 campaign last season at 7:00 PM in Cassell.

I never heard of Alabama State before tonight tbh. And they leave Cassell with a 3 point win after VT missed 13 FT's in one game. Did like what I saw from Leday though.

We missed 15 free throws just to clarify how bad we were. The especially critical ones were the four misses tonight on the front end of 1 and 1's. Costs you the chance at four more attempts.

I'm assuming, for now, that Buzzketball will get better, and this is a teachable moment.

VT has had issues making free throws for a while now. I'd expect a new emphasis on that now.

This is a young team. I didn't expect a stumble in their first game, but now they've had that and can move on.
